.claude/commands/coograph-doctor.md

coograph-doctor is a command for Claude Code from paullukic/coograph. It costs 0 tokens per session (261 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A read-only command that checks whether a project's Coograph installation is healthy. It reports problems in the graph, server, MCP settings, files, hooks, OpenSpec configuration, and pending sync copies, then waits for approval before fixes.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to diagnose a broken Coograph project, apply approved fixes, and rerun the check afterward.
Why use it?
It shows what is broken without making changes automatically, so you can review and approve repairs individually.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00261
Opus 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00104
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00000 $0.00052
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00026

Security

Grade A, and why

coograph-doctor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Check that this project's Coograph install is healthy: graph, server, MCP configs, placeholders, per-tool files, hooks, openspec config, pending sync copies. Read-only; fixes only after the user says yes.

The full procedure lives in .github/skills/coograph-doctor/SKILL.md. Follow those steps exactly, with these Claude Code specific substitutions:

SKILL.md tool Claude Code equivalent
vscode_askQuestions Ask the user directly in the conversation
read_file Use Read tool
run_in_terminal Use Bash tool

Steps (summary)

  1. Run python3 .github/skills/coograph-doctor/doctor.py --project <path> (current folder by default). From a coograph checkout, pass --project and the registry in projects.json is used.
  2. Report the output as it is, then name the first problem to fix.
  3. Offer fixes one at a time (rebuild the graph, re-run /coograph-init, install git hooks, review parked sync copies) and wait for a yes before each.
  4. Re-run the script after any fix.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
