A pre-compaction hook that runs before an agent’s conversation context is shortened, either manually or automatically. It calls recall-hooks to save memory first.

Use it to trigger the recall-hooks pre-compact command before manual or automatic context compaction.

It helps preserve session information that could otherwise be lost when the context is compacted. The hook runs asynchronously during that preparation step.
