PreToolUse is a hook for Claude Code from r0shi/harborclerk. Its token cost is not measured, scanned A, original, MIT.

A pre-edit safety hook that runs a shell check before an agent edits or writes a file. It blocks changes to environment files and direct edits to uv.lock, while allowing .env.example files.

Use it to protect .env files, .envrc files, and uv.lock during Edit and Write operations.
Why use it?
It prevents an agent from overwriting files that commonly contain secrets or must be changed through the uv package tool. It also stops when the check cannot safely determine the target file.
