Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.05094 | $0.05094 |
| Opus 5 | $0.02547 | $0.02547 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.01019 | $0.01019 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00509 | $0.00509 |
Grade A, and why
virtuoso-bridge-lite AGENTS.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 394 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AGENTS.md — AI Agent Guide for virtuoso-bridge-lite
Control Cadence Virtuoso via Python — remotely over SSH or locally on the same machine.
Two modes
| Mode | When | Setup |
|---|---|---|
| Remote | Virtuoso on a server, you work locally | Set VB_REMOTE_HOST for one host, or explicit VB_*_HOST roles, then run virtuoso-bridge start |
| Local | Virtuoso on your own machine | Set VB_REMOTE_HOST=localhost, run virtuoso-bridge start, load the path it prints into CIW |
Prerequisites
- SSH:
ssh my-servermust work without a password prompt. - Virtuoso (for SKILL execution): a running Virtuoso process on the remote (or local) machine.
- Spectre (for simulation only):
spectreon PATH, or setVB_CADENCE_CSHRCto a cshrc that adds Cadence tools to PATH.
Virtuoso and Spectre are independent — you can run Spectre without the SKILL bridge, and vice versa.
Install (both modes)
Use
uv+ virtual environment — never install into the global Python.
uv venv .venv && source .venv/bin/activate # Windows: source .venv/Scripts/activate
uv pip install -e .
Step-by-step setup (remote mode)
1. Generate config
# Preferred — fill host/user/jump in one shot:
virtuoso-bridge init [email protected] -J [email protected]
# Or — empty template (you edit `.env` manually in step 2):
virtuoso-bridge init
Both forms create ~/.virtuoso-bridge/.env. -J/--jump accepts [user@]host.
VB_REMOTE_PORT / VB_LOCAL_PORT are auto-assigned by hashing the remote
username (stable per remote user, so two users on the same host don't collide).
Re-running init on an existing .env is a no-op; pass --force to overwrite.
2. Edit .env (only if step 1 did not already fill it in)
Where to put
.env:--env FILEhas the highest priority. Without it, the bridge walks from the current directory upward and uses the first.envthat looks like a Virtuoso Bridge config (aVB_*_HOSTrole orVB_LOCAL_PORT), then falls back to~/.virtuoso-bridge/.env.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

virtuoso-bridge-lite AGENTS.md is an instructions file published in the GitHub repository Arcadia-1/virtuoso-bridge-lite (703 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 5,094 tokens to every session, about $0.0255 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
