openclaw-godot: Instructions file for Codex

AGENTS.md

openclaw-godot AGENTS.md is an instructions file for Codex, OpenCode from GambitGamesLLC/openclaw-godot. It costs 1,227 tokens per session, scanned C, a copy of code-overhaul-skill AGENTS.md, MIT.

A set of instructions for AI agents working on an OpenClaw project, including issue tracking and safe command use. OpenClaw is the project being maintained; beads is its issue-tracking tool.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when working on OpenClaw code, especially for finding available tasks, claiming issues, closing completed work and running file or remote commands without prompts.
Why use it?
It reduces stalled work caused by shell commands waiting for confirmation and keeps development tasks recorded consistently. It also tells agents how to claim, complete and sync issues.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01227 $0.01227
Opus 5 $0.00613 $0.00613
Sonnet 5 $0.00245 $0.00245
Haiku 4.5 $0.00123 $0.00123

Security

Grade C, and why

openclaw-godot AGENTS.md scanned grade C with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Recursive force deletehighDestructive command

rm -rf with a variable or a broad path is one typo away from removing the wrong tree.

rm -rf directory # NOT: rm -r directory

Agent Instructions

This project uses bd (beads) for issue tracking. Run bd onboard to get started.

Quick Reference

bd ready # Find available work
bd show <id> # View issue details
bd update <id> --claim # Claim work atomically
bd close <id> # Complete work
bd dolt push # Push beads data to remote

Non-Interactive Shell Commands

ALWAYS use non-interactive flags with file operations to avoid hanging on confirmation prompts.

Shell commands like cp, mv, and rm may be aliased to include -i (interactive) mode on some systems, causing the agent to hang indefinitely waiting for y/n input.

Use these forms instead:

# Force overwrite without prompting
cp -f source dest # NOT: cp source dest
mv -f source dest # NOT: mv source dest
rm -f file # NOT: rm file

# For recursive operations
rm -rf directory # NOT: rm -r directory
cp -rf source dest # NOT: cp -r source dest

Other commands that may prompt:

  • scp - use -o BatchMode=yes for non-interactive
  • ssh - use -o BatchMode=yes to fail instead of prompting
  • apt-get - use -y flag
  • brew - use HOMEBREW_NO_AUTO_UPDATE=1 env var

Issue Tracking with bd (beads)

IMPORTANT: This project uses bd (beads) for ALL issue tracking. Do NOT use markdown TODOs, task lists, or other tracking methods.

Why bd?

  • Dependency-aware: Track blockers and relationships between issues
  • Version-controlled: Built on Dolt with cell-level merge
  • Agent-optimized: JSON output, ready work detection, discovered-from links
  • Prevents duplicate tracking systems and confusion

Quick Start

Check for ready work:

bd ready --json

Create new issues:

bd create "Issue title" --description="Detailed context" -t bug|feature|task -p 0-4 --json
bd create "Issue title" --description="What this issue is about" -p 1 --deps discovered-from:bd-123 --json

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
