vibe-land-old: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

vibe-land-old CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from Glavin001/vibe-land-old. It costs 1,456 tokens per session, scanned A, a copy of vibe-coding-starter-pack-3d-multiplayer CLAUDE.md, MIT.

A starter project for a three-dimensional multiplayer game, with a React and Three.js client, a Rust server, and SpacetimeDB for shared game data and real-time updates.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it as a base for developing a browser game with keyboard and mouse controls, 3D scenes, player movement, a React frontend, and a Rust backend.
Why use it?
It provides an existing structure for the main parts of a multiplayer game, including player input, server state, and connected-player updates.

Written for Claude Code: the file is CLAUDE.md.

This is Glavin001/vibe-land-old's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on vibe-land-old itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything vibe-land-old configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is spacetime generate --lang typescript --module-path . --out-dir ../client/src/generated.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.01456 $0.01456
Opus 5 $0.00728 $0.00728
Sonnet 5 $0.00291 $0.00291
Haiku 4.5 $0.00146 $0.00146

Security

Grade A, and why

vibe-land-old CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Vibe Coding Starter Pack: 3D Multiplayer

3D multiplayer game starter kit — React 19 + Three.js + SpacetimeDB 2.x (Rust backend).

Architecture

  • server/ — SpacetimeDB Rust module (compiled to WASM, runs on SpacetimeDB server)
  • client/ — Vite + React + React Three Fiber frontend

Data flow: client input (20Hz) → WebSocket → updatePlayerInput reducer → server updates PlayerData table → subscription pushes changes → all clients render.

Key Files

Server (Rust)

  • server/src/lib.rs — Tables (PlayerData, LoggedOutPlayerData, GameTickSchedule), reducers (register_player, update_player_input), lifecycle handlers (init, identity_connected, identity_disconnected)
  • server/src/player_logic.rscalculate_new_position(), update_input_state(), update_players_logic() (game tick placeholder)
  • server/src/common.rs — Shared types: Vector3, InputState. Constants: PLAYER_SPEED = 7.5, SPRINT_MULTIPLIER = 1.8

Client (TypeScript/React)

  • client/src/App.tsx — SpacetimeDB connection, input handling (keyboard/mouse), game loop (requestAnimationFrame throttled to 20Hz), state management
  • client/src/components/Player.tsx — FBX model loading, animation system, client-side prediction, camera follow/orbital modes, nametags
  • client/src/components/GameScene.tsx — R3F Canvas, sky, lighting, shadows, ground plane, player rendering
  • client/src/components/DebugPanel.tsx — Collapsible dev panel: status, player list, controls reference, model checker
  • client/src/components/PlayerUI.tsx — HUD overlay: health/mana bars, damage flash
  • client/src/components/JoinGameDialog.tsx — Username + class selection modal
  • client/src/simulation.ts — Bot load-testing tool (spawns N SpacetimeDB clients)
  • client/src/generated/ — Auto-generated bindings (do NOT edit manually)

SpacetimeDB v2 API Patterns

Server (Rust)

// Table macro uses `accessor`, not `name`
#[spacetimedb::table(name = "player", public)]
#[derive(Clone, Debug)]
pub struct PlayerData {
    #[primary_key]
    pub identity: Identity,
    // ...
}

// ctx.sender() is a METHOD in v2 (not a field)
// ctx.timestamp is still a FIELD (not a method)
let caller = ctx.sender();
let time = ctx.timestamp;

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
