blockbench-mcp-project: Instructions file for Claude Code

CLAUDE.md

blockbench-mcp-project CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for Claude Code from jasonjgardner/blockbench-mcp-project. It costs 546 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Project instructions for a sample Blockbench MCP workspace, using Minecraft resource-pack models and textures. Blockbench is software for creating and editing 3D models.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when working on Minecraft Bedrock geometry, bones, pivot points, UV mappings, textures, and the project's resource-pack layout.
Why use it?
It explains where project files belong and which Minecraft formats and structures to follow, reducing mistakes when changing the workspace.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00546 $0.00546
Opus 5 $0.00273 $0.00273
Sonnet 5 $0.00109 $0.00109
Haiku 4.5 $0.00055 $0.00055

Security

Grade A, and why

blockbench-mcp-project CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Project Overview

This is a Blockbench MCP (Model Context Protocol) sample project that serves as a template for creating workspaces compatible with the Blockbench MCP server. The repository contains Minecraft resource pack assets designed for use with Blockbench modeling software.

Project Structure

File Formats and Architecture

Geometry Files (.geo.json)

  • Follow Minecraft Bedrock Edition geometry format (version 1.12.0)
  • Contain bone hierarchies, pivot points, and UV mappings
  • Located in resource_pack/models/ with subdirectories for blocks/ and entity/

Texture Set Files (.texture_set.json)

  • Define PBR material properties using format version 1.21.30
  • Map color, metalness/emissive/roughness (MER), and normal textures
  • Located in resource_pack/textures/blocks/

Texture Assets

  • PNG format for color, normal, and MER maps
  • Standard 16x16 resolution for blocks, variable for entities
  • Organized by asset type (blocks vs entities)

Development Workflow

This project contains static asset files with no build process, testing framework, or compilation steps. Changes involve:

  1. Geometry Editing: Modify .geo.json files for 3D model structure
  2. Texture Updates: Replace PNG files or update texture set configurations
  3. Asset Organization: Maintain the directory structure for proper resource pack function

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
