ASPIRE CLAUDE.md

ASPIRE CLAUDE.md is an instructions file for coding agents from NVlabs/ASPIRE. It costs 404 tokens per session, scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Repository instructions for the NVlabs ASPIRE project, which contains simulation and real-robot workspaces. They explain which guidance files and directories to read before working in each workspace.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use them to locate simulation code and setup files, configure workspace paths, and find the required instructions for real-robot YAM workflows.
Why use it?
They reduce the risk of running commands in the wrong project area or mixing simulator procedures with real-robot procedures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00404 $0.00404
Opus 5 $0.00202 $0.00202
Sonnet 5 $0.00081 $0.00081
Haiku 4.5 $0.00040 $0.00040

Measured 5d ago against content hash 0db70000ef3b, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

ASPIRE CLAUDE.md scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Top-Level Agent Guide

Claude Code: Read and follow AGENTS.md first. It is the repository-wide, model-neutral request-routing and safety contract. This file adds workspace guidance for Claude Code; AGENTS.md governs when the two overlap.

This repository is split into a lightweight project root, a simulation workspace, and a real-robot workspace.

Use aspire/sim as the working root for simulation setup, experiments, configs, scripts, tests, and output inspection. The simulation package lives under aspire/sim/cap and imports as aspire.sim.cap.*.

For simulation work:

cd aspire/sim
export ASPIRE_ROOT="$(pwd)"
export PYTHON_ROOT="$(cd ../.. && pwd)"

Read aspire/sim/CLAUDE.md and aspire/sim/.claude/README.md before running suite-specific agents. Keep simulator setup details in aspire/sim/README.md; the top-level README.md should stay a project overview and pointer map.

For real-robot work:

cd aspire/real

Read aspire/real/AGENTS.md before running or editing YAM workflows. Its skills live under aspire/real/.agents/skills/; paths and commands in those skills are relative to aspire/real. Keep real-station procedures separate from the simulation docs.

Generated-Code Security Boundary

ASPIRE executes language-model-generated Python with full import access. Trial processes, timeouts, and simulator watchdogs are not a hardened security sandbox. Treat generated code as untrusted: keep credentials out of worker environments, use an isolated host or container without sensitive mounts, restrict network access, and never give generated code physical-hardware access without review and the operator controls in aspire/real/AGENTS.md.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
