:house_with_garden: Open source home automation that puts local control and privacy first.
Home Assistant is open-source home automation software that lets people control devices and actions locally through a modular system. It is used by home-automation enthusiasts and DIY users, often on a Raspberry Pi or local server; the catalogue entries support operating or developing its integrations and codebase.
These files are home-assistant/core's own configuration. They tell Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex and OpenCode how to work on this repository, so they are not mods to install elsewhere. Copy one as a starting point and replace the parts that are about this project.
