Minimal instrumented MCP server over stdio: records raw bytes, parsing, handler timing and write back-pressure for every message — so "the local MCP server may be unresponsive" can be checked instead of believed. Used to trace a Claude Desktop bug that discards tool calls when you leave the chat.
