Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00360 $0.00360
Opus 5 $0.00180 $0.00180
Sonnet 5 $0.00072 $0.00072
Haiku 4.5 $0.00036 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

enhance-prompt-auto scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Enhance-prompt auto (always-on)

Installed by enhance-prompt setup auto or profile enhance-prompt-auto. Remove this rule to turn off automation.

Behavior

On every user message that is a task or request (not pure chat):

  1. Internally run the enhance-prompt skill (usage mode: auto, leaning self).
  2. Rewrite the message into a precise agent prompt (passes 0-11) before tools, edits, or implementation.
  3. Execute from the enhanced prompt. Do not paste the full enhanced prompt in chat unless the user asked for it.
  4. If blocked on critical gaps (pass 0), ask up to 3 tight questions instead of guessing.

Skip enhancement

Do not run the full enhance pass for:

  • Greetings, thanks, acknowledgments ("hi", "thanks", "ok")
  • Pure questions about prior work with no new task
  • User explicitly said manual use, just enhance, or don't run
  • User invoked /enhance-prompt manual

Pair with

  • Skill: enhance-prompt (procedure and sections)
  • Skill: workflow/enhance-prompt-setup (install/remove this rule)
  • Rule: prompt-quality (on-demand quality bar when authoring prompts)
  • Rule: ask-dont-guess, ai-attribution

Disable

Remove rule enhance-prompt-auto from the project or run setup without --auto.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
