odoo-plm

odoo-plm is a skill for Claude Code from actinon-com/brass-monkey. It costs 31 tokens per session (431 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

Guidance for Odoo's product lifecycle management module, which controls proposed product-design changes through Engineering Change Orders and approvals. A BoM, or bill of materials, lists the components and operations needed to make a product.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create and track Engineering Change Orders, document component or routing changes, manage approvals, version bills of materials, and apply approved changes.
Why use it?
It keeps changes to active manufacturing instructions reviewed and traceable instead of editing live records without an approval process.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00031 $0.00431
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00216
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00086
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00043

Security

Grade A, and why

odoo-plm scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Skill: Odoo PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)

This skill provides the agent with high-level functional expertise in Odoo's PLM module, covering Engineering Change Orders (ECO), BoM versioning, and change approvals.

Core Mandates

1. Structure of a Change (ECO)

  • Proposed Changes: Instead of modifying a live BoM, use an Engineering Change Order (mrp.eco) to propose modifications.
  • Types: ECOs are categorized by Type (mrp.eco.type), such as 'BoM Change' or 'Routing Change'.
  • Workflow: ECOs move through Stages (mrp.eco.stage).

2. Prohibited Direct Edits

  • Mandate: If the PLM module is installed, the agent is strictly forbidden from using write_record to modify an active mrp.bom. All changes must be routed through an mrp.eco.

3. Change Tracking

  • BoM Changes (mrp.eco.bom.change): Tracks the addition, removal, or quantity update of components.
  • Routing Changes (mrp.eco.routing.change): Tracks modifications to manufacturing operations or work center assignments.

4. Approvals & Application

  • Approval Flow: Each stage can require one or more approvals. Use search_read on mrp.eco.approval to verify if a change is ready to be applied.
  • Applying Changes: Once approved and moved to the "Apply" stage, Odoo archives the old BoM version and activates the new version created by the ECO.

Available Resources

  • plm-logic.md: Deep-dive into version control, conflict resolution, and effectivity dates.
  • plm-fields.json: Dense technical map of fields for ECO, Type, Stage, and Change models.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
