plg-onboard

plg-onboard is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from adobe/spacecat-api-service. It costs 117 tokens per session (1,423 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An administrative tool for adding a website to SpaceCat/ASO for a specified Adobe organization. It sends the request to the live service and creates the related organization, site, entitlement, audits, imports, and notifications.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to onboard a domain, manually run customer onboarding, or check or unblock a waitlisted onboarding when you have the domain and IMS organization ID.
Why use it?
It handles onboarding for another organization when the normal tenant restriction would prevent it, but the action is customer-facing and largely irreversible.

About the project

SpaceCat API Service is an HTTP API for working with SpaceCat data, including a server-side proxy for the Semrush AIO API and a PostgreSQL-backed data service. Developers and operators use it to access and run the Edge Delivery services data system.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00117 $0.01423
Opus 5 $0.00059 $0.00711
Sonnet 5 $0.00023 $0.00285
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00142

Security

Grade A, and why

plg-onboard scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 5d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 103 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

PLG Onboard (admin path)

Runs POST /plg/onboard against the live SpaceCat API as an admin, so the imsOrgId in the body is trusted as-is instead of being restricted to the caller's own tenant (see src/controllers/plg/plg-onboarding.js:247-344).

This is production, not a sandbox. spacecat.experiencecloud.live is the prod host (see this repo's own CLAUDE.md Fastly section) — not "dev", despite how some other docs label the /api/v1 path. A successful call creates a real Organization/Site, provisions an ASO entitlement, enrolls the site in audits/imports, and posts Slack notifications. There is no "undo onboarding" — reversal only happens via the separate PATCH /plg/onboard/:onboardingId/statusOUTDATED transition. Treat every run here as a real, largely irreversible customer-facing action.

Required inputs

  • domain — the hostname (or hostname/path) to onboard, e.g. pullman.accor.com.
  • imsOrgId — the target IMS org, format <orgId>@AdobeOrg. If the user gives an org name instead of an ID, look it up (e.g. via Organization.findByImsOrgId through an existing query skill, or ask the user) before proceeding — don't guess.

If either is missing, ask for it. Don't infer imsOrgId from a domain guess.

Safety gate

Before sending the request, confirm with the user:

  1. Domain + org are correct — read them back explicitly.
  2. They intend to hit prod — this is not reversible via this endpoint.
  3. Which credential to use — default is the caller's own mysticat session token via mysticat auth token (requires mysticat login first). Only proceed without asking again if the user has already explicitly confirmed this exact action in the current conversation.

Use mysticat auth token (no --ims flag). The raw IMS access token (mysticat auth token --ims) gets rejected with a plain-text 401 Unauthorized on every route of the live app API — confirmed via response headers (apigw-requestid present, content-length: 12), meaning API Gateway's custom authorizer layer rejects it before the app's own authWrapper ever runs. This reproduced across multiple fresh mysticat login --force cycles, so it isn't a stale-session issue — re-authenticating with --ims will not fix it. The session token works. See the plg-suggestion-grants skill for more detail on this if it resurfaces.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

plg-onboard is a skill published in the GitHub repository adobe/spacecat-api-service (10 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 117 tokens to every session and 1,423 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
