da-express-milo: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/nala-test-generation/SKILL.md

nala-test-generation is a skill for Claude Code from adobecom/da-express-milo. It costs 61 tokens per session (2,296 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A generator for Nala end-to-end tests for an Adobe Express web block. End-to-end tests check a feature through the running site, and Nala is the project's testing framework.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for creating the block definition, test specification, test code, and page object, with an optional minimal test page.
Why use it?
It avoids manually assembling the required test files and helps new tests follow the project's standard layout.

Skill for Claude Code

This is adobecom/da-express-milo's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on da-express-milo itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything da-express-milo configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is const { runAccessibilityTest } = require('../../libs/accessibility.cjs');.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00061 $0.02296
Opus 5 $0.00030 $0.01148
Sonnet 5 $0.00012 $0.00459
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00230

Security

Grade A, and why

nala-test-generation scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nala Test Generation Skill

Nala is the E2E testing framework used in adobecom/da-express-milo. Tests live under nala/blocks/<block-name>/ and follow a strict 4-file structure that matches the output of npm run nala-test-gen.

Inputs

Input Required Notes
Block name (kebab-case) Yes e.g. ax-marquee, font-generator
Test page path No — ask Relative path e.g. /drafts/nala/test-gen/font-generator. If not provided, offer to create the page (see Phase 2).

Phase 1 — Collect inputs

Ask for the block name if not provided.

Then ask about the test page:

Do you have an existing test page path, or should I create one?

  • I have a path — provide the relative path (e.g. /drafts/nala/test-gen/font-generator)
  • Create it for me — I'll build a minimal DA page and give you the path

If the user provides a path, skip to Phase 3. If the user wants a page created, continue to Phase 2.

Phase 2 — Create the DA test page (optional)

The test page is a minimal EDS document containing just the block under test with a lorem ipsum sentence. It is uploaded to DA under:

adobecom / da-express-milo / drafts/nala/test-gen/<block-name>.html

The nala path (used in block.json) will be:

/drafts/nala/test-gen/<block-name>

2a. Build the HTML

The document uses the standard EDS block authoring table format. The first table row names the block; the second row contains a single lorem ipsum sentence as placeholder content.

<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
  <head><title><block-name></title></head>
  <body>
    <header></header>
    <main>
      <div>
        <table>
          <tbody>
            <tr><td><block-name></td></tr>
            <tr><td>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.</td></tr>
          </tbody>
        </table>
      </div>
    </main>
    <footer></footer>
  </body>
</html>

Save to /tmp/da-upload/drafts/nala/test-gen/<block-name>.html.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nala-test-generation is a skill published in the GitHub repository adobecom/da-express-milo (6 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 61 tokens to every session and 2,296 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
