analysis

analysis is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from agentlas-ai/agentlas-desktop. It costs 44 tokens per session (422 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A structured toolkit for checking and fitting physics measurements, including peaks, significance, uncertainty, units, differential-equation simulations, spectra, and laboratory results.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to analyze measurement tables, propagate uncertainty, test units, simulate ordinary differential equations, fit signal peaks or lines, and check teaching-lab experiments.
Why use it?
It keeps assumptions, limits, warnings, and source data attached to each result, reducing the risk of quoting a calculation beyond what the data or method supports.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00044 $0.00422
Opus 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00169
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00009 $0.00084
Haiku 4.5 $0.00004 $0.00042

Security

Grade A, and why

analysis scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 27d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Physics analysis catalogue

  1. For table-based analyses (fit_physics_spectrum_peaks, analyze_physics_signal, fit_physics_york_line, check_physics_lab_experiment) first materialize the measurement table with $physics-dataset; inside Agentlas Science pass its dataset_run_id, standalone pass the normalized table. Column names refer to that table and units come from its column declarations.
  2. Parameter analyses (compute_physics_significance_limits, propagate_physics_uncertainty, analyze_physics_units, simulate_physics_ode) take explicit numbers; state every input the result depends on (background uncertainty, seed, tolerances, unit strings).
  3. Starting values for peak fits and York fits are the caller's responsibility: read them off the data first, then check summary.converged, stopReason, at-bound parameters, and χ²/ndf before quoting any parameter. For a spectrum fit with a mapped sigma_column whose cells are all empty, omit uncertainty_model so the recorded result uses Poisson weighting with a warning. A partly empty measured uncertainty column is not silently filled; explicit column weighting requires complete values.
  4. Every result carries boundaries (method limits) and warnings (data-specific cautions). Quote them with the numbers; never promote an asymptotic or first-order result beyond what the boundaries allow.
  5. Preserve analysisSha256 and figure.figureSha256 with the publication table and the Vega figure; a replay with the same inputs reproduces both hashes.
  6. Cross-check expectations: each analysis has a numpy/scipy oracle under tests/<name>-crosscheck.py; tolerances are documented in docs/science/physics-tools.md.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

analysis is a skill published in the GitHub repository agentlas-ai/agentlas-desktop (6 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 44 tokens to every session and 422 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-04.
