flyway-schema

flyway-schema is a skill for Claude Code from AI-Unified-Process/marketplace. It costs 206 tokens per session (787 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A skill for creating Flyway database migration files from an entity model. Flyway is a tool that applies numbered SQL changes to a database in order, including tables, columns, relationships, and data rules.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to add tables or alter database structure with versioned SQL files, foreign keys, uniqueness rules, checks, and indexes.
Why use it?
It keeps database structure changes versioned and limits them to the tables, fields, and constraints required by the model. It also avoids changing migrations that have already been applied.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00206 $0.00787
Opus 5.5 $0.00082 $0.00315
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00041 $0.00157
Haiku 4.5 $0.00021 $0.00079

Security

Grade A, and why

flyway-schema scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Flyway Schema

Instructions

Create the versioned Flyway migrations that the use case $ARGUMENTS needs, from docs/entity_model.md.

Scope

  • Consumes the entity model and the existing migrations in src/main/resources/db/migration/.
  • Produces new V<n>__<description>.sql files, named after the tables they change, never after a use case.
  • Never touches an applied migration, Java code, tests, or anything under docs/ other than the Markers table of docs/architecture/stack.md.

Run Directly or from /use-case-implement

Run from /use-case-implement, this skill inherits the inputs that skill read, the gaps the user answered, and its rules for reconciling an existing implementation; it does not repeat the status check or ask the same questions again. Run directly, read the use case, the requirements it links, docs/entity_model.md, and docs/architecture/stack.md yourself, and stop on a Draft or Reviewed use case.

Business Rule Markers

A CHECK, UNIQUE, or index that enforces a business rule gets -- UC-XXX BR-YYY: <rule> on the line above it.

Markers

Keep this skill's rows in the Markers table of docs/architecture/stack.md exactly as references/markers.md lists them: add them when they are missing, correct them when they differ. Touch no other row.

Workflow

  1. Read the entity model and the existing migrations; take the next free version number.
  2. Write only the tables, columns, and constraints the use case needs and the schema does not have yet. When the schema already has everything, write nothing and say so in the Handover.
  3. Update the Markers table — see "Markers".
  4. Report the files and end with the Handover.

Handover

Handover from flyway-schema (UC-XXX)
- V<n>__<description>.sql — src/main/resources/db/migration/
  - table <name> (<column> <type> <constraints>, …)
  - constraint <name> — UC-XXX BR-YYY
Nothing to do: <reason> (when the schema already has everything the use case needs)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
