simplify

simplify is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from airvalona/antigravity-like-claude-code. It costs 62 tokens per session (368 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A cleanup tool for simplifying changed code or a selected file or folder without changing its behavior. It looks for unnecessary abstractions, unclear naming, dead code, overly clever code, and repeated logic.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it after making changes when the code needs to be easier to read and maintain. It can remove unused code, clarify structure, and simplify repeated patterns.
Why use it?
It reduces complexity without turning the task into a bug hunt or architectural rewrite. It keeps cleanup separate from general review and security auditing.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00062 $0.00368
Opus 5.5 $0.00025 $0.00147
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00012 $0.00074
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00037

Security

Grade A, and why

simplify scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2mo ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

/simplify — Cleanup-Only Pass

Port of Claude Code's /simplify. Narrower than code-review: this skill only reduces complexity, it does not look for bugs, security issues, or missing tests.

Arguments

  • /simplify — clean up the current uncommitted diff.
  • /simplify <target> — clean up a specific file or folder.

What to look for

  • Unnecessary abstraction layers (wrapper functions/classes with a single caller)
  • Overly clever one-liners that would read better as 2-3 plain lines
  • Dead code, unused imports, unused variables
  • Inconsistent naming relative to the rest of the file/project
  • Duplicated logic that could be a shared helper — but only if the duplication is already 3+ occurrences; don't prematurely abstract for 2

What NOT to do

  • Do not change behavior. If a simplification would alter output or side effects, skip it and flag it instead of applying it.
  • Do not go hunting for bugs — that's code-review's job. If a real bug is spotted incidentally, mention it once at the end without expanding scope.
  • Do not restructure the file's overall architecture, only tidy what's changed or explicitly targeted.

Output

Apply the simplifications directly as edits, then give a short bullet list of what was simplified and why. Keep the diff minimal and focused.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

simplify is a skill published in the GitHub repository airvalona/antigravity-like-claude-code (2 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 62 tokens to every session and 368 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
