llmlb-cli-usage

llmlb-cli-usage is a skill for Claude Code from akiojin/llmlb. It costs 24 tokens per session (283 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A practical guide for using the llmlb assistant command-line interface to inspect API schemas, read task-specific guidance, and run curl requests. An API is a set of endpoints that software can call to exchange data or perform actions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to inspect the OpenAPI description, load guidance by category, and send authenticated requests to llmlb services through the command line.
Why use it?
It replaces an older MCP server workflow with documented CLI commands and adds checks for allowed hosts, unsafe shell patterns, and authentication settings.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00024 $0.00283
Opus 5.5 $0.00010 $0.00113
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00005 $0.00057
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00028

Security

Grade A, and why

llmlb-cli-usage scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

What it actually says

llmlb Assistant CLI Usage (Claude Code)

Use llmlb assistant as the default interface for API inspection and curl execution.

Preferred command order

  1. llmlb assistant openapi to inspect endpoint schema.
  2. llmlb assistant guide --category <...> to load task-specific API notes.
  3. llmlb assistant curl --command "curl ..." to execute requests safely.

Examples

llmlb assistant openapi
llmlb assistant guide --category overview
llmlb assistant curl --command "curl http://localhost:32768/v1/models" --json

Auth and environment

  • LLMLB_URL (default: http://localhost:32768)
  • LLMLB_API_KEY for /v1/*
  • LLMLB_ADMIN_API_KEY for /api/*
  • LLMLB_JWT_TOKEN fallback for /api/auth/*

Safety notes

  • Requests to non-allowed hosts are blocked.
  • Shell-injection patterns and dangerous curl options are rejected.
  • Use --no-auto-auth only when you must send custom auth headers.
Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

llmlb-cli-usage is a skill published in the GitHub repository akiojin/llmlb (10 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 24 tokens to every session and 283 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-21.
