healthbankone

healthbankone is a skill for Claude Code from aks129/HealthClawGuardrails. It costs 116 tokens per session (2,701 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connector for retrieving verified medical records and identity details from Health Bank One, an online health-data service. It uses user authorization before pulling the information into HealthClaw.

In plain words
What is it for?
Authorizing access to personal or permitted patient records, importing them into HealthClaw, and using supported record writebacks.
Why use it?
It can combine identity verification with clinical records and can retrieve some paper-based records through the service.

Written for Claude Code: shipped in a Claude Code plugin. Also seen: mentions Claude Code; built for openclaw.

Needs its repository: it runs a file that does not travel with it, so clone the repository first. The line is python scripts/healthbankone_oauth.py authorize --tenant-id my-tenant.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00116 $0.02701
Opus 5 $0.00058 $0.01350
Sonnet 5 $0.00023 $0.00540
Haiku 4.5 $0.00012 $0.00270

Security

Grade A, and why

healthbankone scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Health Bank One — pull verified records via MCP

Status: live. Bootstrap Developer Program onboarded 2026-06-10.

MCP endpoint: https://mcp.app.healthbankone.com/mcp

Self-access auth: OAuth via browser/QR code — no client_secret needed for your own records. Claude Code: add to .mcp.json and run /mcp to authorize. Multi-patient (commercial) auth uses Open Dynamic Client Registration (RFC 7591).

HBO sits in our health-data source matrix as the OAuth-pulled, identity-verified equivalent of:

  • HealthEx (token-pulled, no per-consumer consent — see healthex-export-redacted)
  • Fasten Connect (webhook-pushed, TEFCA-verified — see fasten-connect)

What HBO gives us that HealthEx and Fasten don't

  • Digital Identity verification baked in. IAL2 / AAL2 / PSD2-grade. Once a consumer authorizes HealthClaw, we get identity attributes alongside the clinical bundle — no separate CLEAR / ID.me step.
  • Paper-record retrieval. HBO's pipeline includes mail-based requests for records that aren't yet digital. Useful for older patients with significant pre-2015 history.
  • Writebacks. The Engagement service exposes authorized writebacks; HealthClaw can publish curatr fixes or annotated documents back to the consumer's HBO account.
  • Insurance Context. Verified payer details — possibly the strongest case for HBO over the other two sources.

Setup

1. Self-access (Bootstrap — your own records)

Claude Code — add to project .mcp.json (already done in this repo):

"healthbankone": {
  "type": "http",
  "url": "https://mcp.app.healthbankone.com/mcp"
}

Then in a new session run /mcp → browser opens with QR code → scan with the Health Bank One digital ID app → approve → connected.

Claude Desktop+ → Connectors → Manage Connectors → Add custom connector → enter https://mcp.app.healthbankone.com/mcp → Connect → scan QR.

Script pull (for export → redact → ingest pipeline):

export HBO_MCP_URL=https://mcp.app.healthbankone.com/mcp
# Authorize once (opens browser + QR):
python scripts/healthbankone_oauth.py authorize --tenant-id my-tenant
# Then pull + redact + ingest:
python scripts/export_healthbankone_mcp.py --tenant-id my-tenant --discover

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

healthbankone is a skill published in the GitHub repository aks129/HealthClawGuardrails (30 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 116 tokens to every session and 2,701 once invoked, about $0.0006 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
