ui

ui is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from AlexeyPerov/Unity-Open-MCP. It costs 0 tokens per session (2,743 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A connector for Unity's built-in uGUI system, which creates game interfaces such as menus, buttons, sliders, text, and input fields.

In plain words
What is it for?
Creating and changing canvases, interface controls, layout groups, and related UI components in a Unity project.
Why use it?
It reduces the manual work of building and arranging interface elements in the Unity Editor. TextMesh Pro text is available only when that package is installed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.02743
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.01372
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00549
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00274

Security

Grade A, and why

ui scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Unity Open MCP — UI (uGUI) Extension

Skill for AI agents driving Unity uGUI (Canvas / elements / layout groups / element modify) in a project through the unity-open-mcp MCP server.

This domain is embedded in the bridge and opt-in. Its tools use the built-in UI module (Canvas / CanvasScaler / GraphicRaycaster / Image / Text / Button / Slider / Toggle / InputField / layout groups / EventSystem from UnityEngine.UI + UnityEngine.EventSystems) — no Unity package install is required, and they compile into every bridge build. Its tool group is hidden from ListTools until the connected session activates it. TextMesh Pro (TMP_Text) is optional and detected at call time — when absent, ui_element_add with element_type=TMP_Text returns a structured tmp_package_required error (no silent legacy-Text fallback).

Preconditions

  • Unity Editor is open with the target project.
  • unity_open_mcp_ping returns connected: true.
  • The ui tool group is activated — call unity_open_mcp_manage_tools(action="activate", group="ui") before invoking any UI tool. Fresh sessions start with two default-on groups (core and gate-and-verify); activate the other groups you need on demand. Because uGUI is built-in, capabilities always reports the ui group as available: true (no domainDefine).

Tool prefix

One prefix, four tools, all in the ui group:

  • unity_open_mcp_ui_canvas_add — add a Canvas (+ CanvasScaler + GraphicRaycaster) to a host GameObject or as a new scene root, and ensure an EventSystem exists in the open scene(s). Mutating.
  • unity_open_mcp_ui_element_add — add a uGUI element (Text / TMP_Text if TMP is present / Image / Button / Slider / Toggle / InputField) as a child of a parent RectTransform. Mutating.
  • unity_open_mcp_ui_layout_group_add — add a HorizontalLayoutGroup / VerticalLayoutGroup / GridLayoutGroup to a parent. Mutating.
  • unity_open_mcp_ui_element_modify — typed patch on a uGUI component (Selectables, Graphic color / raycastTarget, LayoutElement preferred sizes, Text / TMP_Text text). Mutating.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ui is a skill published in the GitHub repository AlexeyPerov/Unity-Open-MCP (12 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 2,743 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
