SRA: Skill for Claude Code

.agent/skills/tailwind-v4/SKILL.md

tailwind-v4 is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from Aniket-a14/SRA. It costs 70 tokens per session (1,639 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

Guidance for Tailwind CSS version 4, a styling system that uses utility classes and CSS variables to define reusable design values.

In plain words
What is it for?
It helps configure Tailwind with Vite, define theme tokens and OKLCH colors, use CSS variables, and set up dark-mode styles.
Why use it?
It explains the version's CSS-first setup and helps avoid applying older configuration patterns to newer projects.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one.

This is Aniket-a14/SRA's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on SRA itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything SRA configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00070 $0.01639
Opus 5 $0.00035 $0.00820
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00328
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00164

Security

Grade A, and why

tailwind-v4 scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Tailwind CSS v4 Best Practices

Quick Reference

Vite Plugin Setup:

// vite.config.ts
import tailwindcss from '@tailwindcss/vite';
import { defineConfig } from 'vite';

export default defineConfig({
  plugins: [tailwindcss()],
});

CSS Entry Point:

/* src/index.css */
@import 'tailwindcss';

@theme Inline Directive:

@theme inline {
  --color-primary: oklch(60% 0.24 262);
  --color-surface: oklch(98% 0.002 247);
}

Key Differences from v3

Feature v3 v4
Configuration tailwind.config.js @theme in CSS
Build Tool PostCSS plugin @tailwindcss/vite
Colors rgb() / hsl() oklch() (default)
Theme Extension extend: {} in JS CSS variables
Dark Mode darkMode config option CSS variants

@theme Directive Modes

default (standard mode)

Generates CSS variables that can be referenced elsewhere:

@theme {
  --color-brand: oklch(60% 0.24 262);
}

/* Generates: :root { --color-brand: oklch(...); } */
/* Usage: text-brand → color: var(--color-brand) */

Note: You can also use @theme default explicitly to mark theme values that can be overridden by non-default @theme declarations.

inline

Inlines values directly without CSS variables (better performance):

@theme inline {
  --color-brand: oklch(60% 0.24 262);
}

/* Usage: text-brand → color: oklch(60% 0.24 262) */

reference

Inlines values as fallbacks without emitting CSS variables:

@theme reference {
  --color-internal: oklch(50% 0.1 180);
}

/* No :root variable, but utilities use fallback */
/* Usage: bg-internal → background-color: var(--color-internal, oklch(50% 0.1 180)) */

OKLCH Color Format

OKLCH provides perceptually uniform colors with better consistency across hues:

oklch(L% C H)
  • L (Lightness): 0% (black) to 100% (white)
  • C (Chroma): 0 (gray) to ~0.4 (vibrant)
  • H (Hue): 0-360 degrees (red → yellow → green → blue → magenta)

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
