act

A connection guide for Act, a customer-relationship management system, through Apideck's shared CRM API. It identifies the settings needed to work with Act.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when reading, creating, updating, searching, or synchronizing contacts, companies, leads, opportunities, activities, and sales pipelines in Act.
Why use it?
It avoids writing separate connection logic for Act and helps use the same CRM code with other supported services by changing the service identifier.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00067 $0.01477
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00739
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00295
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00148

Security

Grade A, and why

act scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Act (via Apideck)

Access Act through Apideck's CRM unified API — one of 21 CRM connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to Odoo, Salesforce, HubSpot and 17 other CRM connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Act plumbing.

Quick facts

  • Apideck serviceId: act
  • Unified API: CRM
  • Auth type: oauth2
  • Gotchas: page
  • Homepage: https://act.com

When to use this skill

Activate this skill when the user explicitly wants to work with Act — for example, "pull contacts in Act" or "sync leads in Act". This skill teaches the agent:

  1. Which Apideck unified API covers Act (CRM)
  2. The correct serviceId to pass on every call (act)
  3. Act-specific auth and coverage caveats

For the full method surface (parameters, pagination, filtering), use your language SDK skill:

For the raw OpenAPI spec:

Minimal example (TypeScript)

import { Apideck } from "@apideck/unify";

const apideck = new Apideck({
  apiKey: process.env.APIDECK_API_KEY,
  appId: process.env.APIDECK_APP_ID,
  consumerId: "your-consumer-id",
});

// List contacts in Act
const { data } = await apideck.crm.contacts.list({
  serviceId: "act",
});

Portable across 21 CRM connectors

The Apideck CRM unified API exposes the same methods for every connector in its catalog. Switching from Act to another CRM connector is a one-string change — no rewrite, no new SDK.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

act is a skill published in the GitHub repository apideck-libraries/api-skills (3 stars, last pushed 3d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 67 tokens to every session and 1,477 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
