employmenthero

employmenthero is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 69 tokens per session (1,886 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of acerta, Apache-2.0.

A connector for using Employment Hero, a human-resources information system, through Apideck’s shared API. It covers employees, departments, payrolls, and time-off records.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read or synchronise employee, department, payroll, and time-off data in Employment Hero. Employment Hero support is in beta, so coverage may be incomplete.
Why use it?
It avoids building separate Employment Hero integration code and managing authentication, pagination, rate limits, and retries. The same code pattern can be adapted to other supported HR systems.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00069 $0.01886
Opus 5.5 $0.00028 $0.00754
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00014 $0.00377
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00189

Security

Grade A, and why

employmenthero scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Employment Hero (via Apideck)

Access Employment Hero through Apideck's HRIS unified API — one of 58 HRIS connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to BambooHR, Workday, Deel and 54 other HRIS connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Employment Hero plumbing.

Beta connector. Employment Hero is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: moderate — Platinum-Tier Plan Required for API Access
  • Vendor partnership required: no (Employment Hero Partner Program)
  • Apideck-managed credentials: available — For testing only: OAuth shows "Apideck" as the requesting application; production integrations use your own Employment Hero OAuth app.
  • Account type required: Employment Hero HR organisation.
  • Consumer access level: Admin or owner recommended, so that all API endpoints are accessible.
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — Free trial organisation with 2 weeks of Developer Portal access; email [email protected] to extend it or request a permanent sandbox.
  • Costs: API access needs a Platinum subscription or above.
  • Rate limits: 20 requests per second and 100 requests per minute.
  • Authentication: Authorization Code flow.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
