folks-hr

folks-hr is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 74 tokens per session (1,950 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of acerta, Apache-2.0.

A connector for using Folks HR, a human-resources information system, through Apideck’s shared API. It covers employees, departments, payrolls, and time-off records.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to read or synchronise employee, department, payroll, and time-off data in Folks HR. The input does not specify whether records can be created or updated.
Why use it?
It avoids writing separate integration code for Folks HR and managing authentication, pagination, rate limits, and retries. The same code can be adapted to other supported HR systems by changing the service identifier.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00074 $0.01950
Opus 5.5 $0.00030 $0.00780
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00390
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00195

Security

Grade A, and why

folks-hr scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Folks HR (via Apideck)

Access Folks HR through Apideck's HRIS unified API — one of 58 HRIS connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to BambooHR, Workday, Deel and 54 other HRIS connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Folks HR plumbing.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: moderate — Folks Must Activate API Access on Request
  • Vendor partnership required: no — API access is granted through Folks' request form, not a partner programme.
  • Apideck-managed credentials: not available — Each Folks company generates its own API key.
  • Account type required: A Folks HR company account with the API key management page activated.
  • Consumer access level: Company administrator; only administrators can generate API keys.
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — Request it through Folks' API request form, choosing Sandbox as the access type.
  • Rate limits: 60 requests per minute per client.
  • Authentication: Client ID and secret from a Folks V2 API key, plus the company UUID.
  • Webhooks: Virtual webhooks - employee created, updated and terminated events.

Important to know:

  • Production access is its own request, which Folks reviews with heightened security measures. Sandbox access alone does not let you go live, so plan for that vendor approval before launch.
  • Each API key carries access levels for employees, departments, working sites and sensitive data, chosen by the consumer's administrator. A key without the levels you need limits what you can read, and editing a key later invalidates the access tokens already issued from it.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
