microsoft-outlook

microsoft-outlook is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 75 tokens per session (2,131 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

An integration for connecting Microsoft Outlook through Apideck's CRM API. It is intended for working with contacts, companies, leads, opportunities, activities, and pipelines rather than providing a general explanation of email features.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it for supported CRM-style tasks involving contacts, companies, leads, opportunities, activities, and pipelines in Microsoft Outlook.
Why use it?
It reduces the service-specific authentication and request-handling code needed to connect to Outlook through Apideck. The connector is in beta, so some operations may be incomplete.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00075 $0.02131
Opus 5.5 $0.00030 $0.00852
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00426
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00213

Security

Grade A, and why

microsoft-outlook scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Microsoft Outlook (via Apideck)

Access Microsoft Outlook through Apideck's CRM unified API — one of 21 CRM connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to Odoo, Salesforce, HubSpot and 17 other CRM connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Microsoft Outlook plumbing.

Beta connector. Microsoft Outlook is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: highly complex — Consumer-Registered Entra App + Tenant Admin Consent
  • Vendor partnership required: no
  • Apideck-managed credentials: not available — Each consumer's organisation registers its own Entra app and supplies its credentials.
  • Account type required: Microsoft Entra work or school tenant; personal Microsoft accounts cannot be used.
  • Consumer access level: A Microsoft Entra administrator who can grant admin consent (registering the app alone needs the Application Developer role).
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — Free Microsoft 365 E5 developer subscription with sample data, only for Visual Studio Professional or Enterprise subscribers and qualifying programmes.
  • Rate limits: 10,000 requests per 10 minutes and 4 concurrent requests, per app and mailbox combination.
  • Authentication: Client credentials (app-only): no user signs in.
  • Webhooks: No webhooks - the connector does not subscribe to Microsoft Graph change notifications, so contacts and users are read by polling.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
