sap-successfactors

sap-successfactors is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 79 tokens per session (2,486 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of acerta, Apache-2.0.

An integration for reading and syncing employee, department, payroll, and time-off data in SAP SuccessFactors through Apideck, a service that provides one API for many HR systems. It also covers applicant-tracking data.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to connect an application to SAP SuccessFactors for HR records, payroll, time off, or recruiting workflows.
Why use it?
It avoids writing separate connection code for SAP SuccessFactors. The same API methods can be used with other supported HR and recruiting systems by changing the service identifier.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00079 $0.02486
Opus 5.5 $0.00032 $0.00994
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00016 $0.00497
Haiku 4.5 $0.00008 $0.00249

Security

Grade A, and why

sap-successfactors scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 20d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

SAP SuccessFactors (via Apideck)

Access SAP SuccessFactors through Apideck's HRIS, ATS unified API — one of 58 HRIS connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to BambooHR, Workday, Deel and 54 other HRIS connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant SAP SuccessFactors plumbing.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: highly complex — Custom SAML2-Bearer Auth + Multi-Step Admin Setup (OAuth Client Registration + X.509 Certificate)
  • Vendor partnership required: no (SAP PartnerEdge — Build track) — SAP PartnerEdge Build is optional: membership gives portal and documentation access, while test and demo tenants need a separate, paid SAP development licence.
  • Apideck-managed credentials: not available — Each connection uses OAuth client credentials created in the consumer's own SuccessFactors tenant.
  • Account type required: SuccessFactors instance with OData API access enabled — Employee Central for HRIS, Recruiting for ATS.
  • Consumer access level: Admin Center access sufficient to register an OAuth2 Client Application, bind the technical user to it, and upload the X.509 certificate.
  • Sandbox: not available — Testing runs against the consumer's own SuccessFactors test instance, or a partner demo instance requested through SAP with PartnerEdge membership.
  • Costs: SAP does not publish SuccessFactors API or licensing pricing.
  • Rate limits: Apideck enforces 40 requests/second per connection.
  • Authentication: A SAML2-Bearer assertion signed with an X.509 certificate; not a standard OAuth consent flow.
  • Webhooks: Virtual webhooks — polling for hris.employee.* plus ats.applicant., ats.application. and ats.job.* events; SuccessFactors sends no native push.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
