zoho-people

zoho-people is a skill for Claude Code from apideck-libraries/api-skills. It costs 75 tokens per session (2,044 once invoked), scanned A, a copy of acerta, Apache-2.0.

A connection for reading and synchronising employees, departments, payrolls, and time-off records in Zoho People through Apideck's shared HR interface.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to sync employee data, list departments, access payroll information, or manage time-off records in Zoho People.
Why use it?
It avoids building separate connection code for Zoho People, including authentication, page-by-page results, request limits, and retries. Zoho People is marked as a beta connection, so some data may be incomplete or mapped differently.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00075 $0.02044
Opus 5.5 $0.00030 $0.00818
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00015 $0.00409
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00204

Security

Grade A, and why

zoho-people scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 15d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Zoho People (via Apideck)

Access Zoho People through Apideck's HRIS unified API — one of 58 HRIS connectors that share the same method surface. Code you write here ports to BambooHR, Workday, Deel and 54 other HRIS connectors by changing a single serviceId string. Apideck handles auth, pagination, rate limiting, and retries so you don't write per-tenant Zoho People plumbing.

Beta connector. Zoho People is currently in beta on Apideck. Expect partial resource coverage and occasional mapping gaps. Always verify coverage (see below) and fall back to the Proxy API for unsupported operations.

Quick facts

At a glance

  • Implementation difficulty: straightforward — Self-Service OAuth Client + Free Trial, No Partnership or App Review
  • Vendor partnership required: no — Zoho runs no partner programme or app review for API access.
  • Apideck-managed credentials: available — For testing only; production connections use your own Zoho OAuth client.
  • Account type required: Zoho People account on Essential HR or higher.
  • Consumer access level: Zoho People publishes no minimum role for authorising a connection.
  • Sandbox: available (signup) — 30-day free trial with all plan features; Zoho People's in-product Sandbox (a copy of your configuration) is an Enterprise plan feature.
  • Costs: API included with Essential HR and higher paid plans; Zoho publishes no separate API fee.
  • Rate limits: Per day by plan: 5,000 (Essential HR), 10,000 (Professional), 15,000 (Premium), 25,000 (Enterprise); 250 calls per user licence, 500 on Enterprise.
  • Authentication: Authorization Code flow.
  • Webhooks: Virtual webhooks - employee created, updated and terminated events

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
