.claude/skills/scaffold-nextjs/SKILL.md

scaffold-nextjs is a skill for Claude Code from arunanksharan/claude-forge. It costs 105 tokens per session (558 once invoked), scanned A, original, Unlicense.

A setup guide for creating a new Next.js web project, using Next.js’s App Router and a specified set of React, styling, form, state, and UI libraries.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to start web, admin, landing-page, or chat projects, with options for 3D features, authentication, branding, and deployment.
Why use it?
It removes the need to choose and configure these project foundations manually, helping keep new projects consistent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00105 $0.00558
Opus 5 $0.00053 $0.00279
Sonnet 5 $0.00021 $0.00112
Haiku 4.5 $0.00011 $0.00056

Measured 9d ago against content hash ef606aa64ff6, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-09-09, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

scaffold-nextjs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Scaffold Next.js Project (claudeforge)

Follow the master prompt at frontend/nextjs/PROMPT.md. Steps:

  1. Confirm parameters: project_name, project_slug (kebab-case), app type (web/admin/landing/chat), include 3D/auth, brand primary color, deployment target (vercel vs self-hosted).
  2. Read foundational docs:
    • frontend/nextjs/PROMPT.md — master prompt with directory tree, deps, key files
    • frontend/nextjs/01-stack-and-libraries.md — locked library list with rationale
    • frontend/nextjs/02-design-system-spec.md — token system if creating a design system
  3. Read deep-dives as needed:
    • 03-animations-and-motion.md — Framer Motion patterns
    • 04-mobile-responsive.md — mobile-first, dvh, safe-area, touch targets
    • 05-forms-and-state.md — rhf+zod, TanStack Query, Zustand, URL state
  4. Generate: pnpm create next-app with TS+Tailwind+ESLint+src-dir+App Router, replace deps with locked stack, init shadcn/ui, install initial UI components (button/input/label/dialog/dropdown/toast), write layout.tsx, providers.tsx, globals.css with token CSS vars, tailwind.config.ts with semantic tokens, lib/utils.ts (cn), lib/env.ts (zod), one example feature page demonstrating Server Component + form + TanStack Query mutation.
  5. Verify: pnpm dev works, pnpm lint && pnpm type-check && pnpm test clean.
  6. If deployment_target=self-hosted: also create Dockerfile with output: 'standalone' (see deployment/per-framework/deploy-nextjs.md).

Do NOT install antd, Mantine, react-icons, formik, lenis, ogl, or any rejected library from 01-stack-and-libraries.md section 7.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
