nuxt

nuxt is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ashish7802/awesome-api-skills. It costs 0 tokens per session (523 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A framework for building websites and server features with Vue, a JavaScript interface library. Nuxt includes server routes, automatic component imports, and rendering that can happen on both the server and the browser.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to start a Nuxt project, create secure API endpoints, connect services such as Stripe or Neon, protect runtime configuration, and handle client or server errors.
Why use it?
It helps you keep database credentials and other secrets on the server while still serving pages to users. Its guidance also helps avoid browser-only code errors and isolate application failures.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.00523
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.00262
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00105
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00052

Security

Grade A, and why

nuxt scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 2 executable files (examples/api-route.ts, examples/data-fetch.ts), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Ecosystem Graph

nuxt -- "depends on" --> vue
nuxt -- "alternative to" --> nextjs

Quick Start

Nuxt 3 is the enterprise Vue framework, featuring Nitro (an ultra-fast server engine) and automatic component importing.

Production Patterns

Server API Routes

Nuxt provides a server/api directory. Functions exported here are automatically mapped to /api/* endpoints. Use these routes to hide database credentials and interact securely with APIs like Stripe or Neon.

Architecture & Scaling

Universal Rendering

By default, Nuxt executes code on both the server (for SSR HTML generation) and the client (hydration). Always guard browser-specific APIs (like window.localStorage) by wrapping them in if (import.meta.client).

Error Recovery

Use the app.vue NuxtErrorBoundary component to isolate crashes. For server-side API errors, return createError({ statusCode: 400, statusMessage: 'Invalid' }).

Security Notes

Ensure sensitive tokens (like a Stripe Secret Key) are placed in the runtimeConfig without exposing them in the public sub-object.

Relationships

Prerequisites: vue

Alternatives: nextjs

Deploys To: vercel

Why use this skill

Use this when your agent works with nuxt — structured patterns beat pasted docs and prevent common hallucinations.

AI pitfalls

  • Using outdated SDK or API versions from training data
  • Inventing environment variable names
  • Omitting error handling and retry logic

Production checklist

  • Secrets in environment variables, not source code
  • Error handling and logging in place
  • Rate limits and timeouts configured

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

nuxt is a skill published in the GitHub repository ashish7802/awesome-api-skills (13 stars, last pushed 7d ago), licensed MIT. It costs nothing until one of its globs matches a file; then it loads 523 tokens. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
