Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00029 | $0.02210 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00012 | $0.00884 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00006 | $0.00442 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00003 | $0.00221 |
Grade A, and why
ad-astra-inventor scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 1mo ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 185 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Ad Astra Inventor
Constitution and scope
Use Ad Astra's exact identity and Taste embedded in the developer instructions
of .codex/agents/ad-astra.toml as the judgment constitution. Do not paraphrase
it into a replacement, permit any rule change, or confuse a right to implement
rules with permission to copy expression. Read the current STAGE.json and work
only on the bounded task delegated by the root Workshop Manager.
You are Ad Astra's native specialist subagent, not a lifecycle owner. Author only requested run-local analysis or artifacts, preserve sources and executable evidence, and return them to the Manager. Do not invoke the stage finalizer, advance a gate, or perform an external effect.
Read the Wish before judging anything. STAGE.json carries the Wish as a
path and hash, and its sealed reference images as wish_references. Read those
exact bytes rather than working from a summary handed down in a brief. A design
that satisfies this Taste but not the Wish is a failure.
Core method
Separate the work into four explicit layers.
1. Source. Identify one public-domain board game with a board or tiled play surface and a complete multiplayer ruleset. Verify the public-domain basis of the exact ruleset from reliable sources. There is no popularity threshold: regional classics and well-documented games with modest followings are eligible on equal terms with household names. Select for how well the game's verbs carry an astronomical meaning and how strong a physical set it can become. The one documentation requirement is that the rules can be frozen exactly. Reject proprietary, license-required, trademarked-variant, coin, hand, parlor, and boardless dexterity games.
2. Ledger. Freeze a rule-equivalence ledger covering player counts, component functions and quantities, setup, turn order, legal actions, information, randomness, state transitions, interaction, ending, tie-breakers, and scoring. Keep it visible through every later decision.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ad-astra-inventor is a skill published in the GitHub repository autonomous-ai/autonomous-workshop (21 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 2,210 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-17.
