ab-method: Skill for Claude Code

.agents/skills/ab-test-mission/SKILL.md

ab-test-mission is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from ayoubben18/ab-method. It costs 29 tokens per session (111 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow for adding tests after code has already been written, rather than using test-driven development (writing tests before implementation).

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it when you want to backfill test coverage, following the project's configured AB Method structure and workflow.
Why use it?
It provides a defined process for covering existing code that was created without tests first.

Written for no agent in particular: nothing here depends on one. Also seen: installed under .agents/ (shared by several agents).

This is ayoubben18/ab-method's own configuration. It tells Claude Code and Codex how to work on ab-method itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything ab-method configures →

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00029 $0.00111
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00056
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00022
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00011

Security

Grade A, and why

ab-test-mission scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 6d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

This skill runs the AB Method test-mission workflow.

Follow the workflow defined in .ab-method/core/test-mission.md exactly — it contains the full process, output format, and rules.

Before doing anything, check .ab-method/structure/index.yaml. It defines where this workflow reads from and writes to. Paths are user-configurable; never hardcode them.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

ab-test-mission is a skill published in the GitHub repository ayoubben18/ab-method (189 stars, last pushed 6d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 29 tokens to every session and 111 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
