beava-design

A design skill for creating interfaces and visual assets for beava, an open-source single-binary feature server for stream processing.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to design beava production interfaces, prototypes, mockups, documentation pages, and related visual assets.
Why use it?
It gives beava projects a consistent visual language, including specified colors, fonts, logo assets, UI components, and writing style.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00067 $0.00409
Opus 5 $0.00034 $0.00204
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00082
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00041

Measured 2d ago against content hash 56281ced96ef, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-08-30, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

beava-design scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 2d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

Read the README.md file within this skill, and explore the other available files.

If creating visual artifacts (slides, mocks, throwaway prototypes, etc.), copy assets out and create static HTML files for the user to view. If working on production code, you can copy assets and read the rules here to become an expert in designing with this brand.

If the user invokes this skill without any other guidance, ask them what they want to build or design, ask some questions, and act as an expert designer who outputs HTML artifacts or production code, depending on the need.

Quick starting points

  • Tokens: always import colors_and_type.css first. Never invent colors — use the CSS variables.
  • Fonts: Instrument Serif (display), Inter Tight (UI/body), JetBrains Mono (code), Gaegu (hand-drawn accent — use sparingly). All via Google Fonts.
  • Mascot: assets/logo-mark.png for the default friendly pose; assets/mascot-work-pose.svg for docs/tutorials; assets/mascot-mark-geometric.png for favicons.
  • Voice: warm, craft-oriented, self-aware, playful-at-the-edges. Sentence case everywhere. No emoji in product UI.
  • Reference UIs: ui_kits/marketing/, ui_kits/docs/, ui_kits/learn/ — copy components out of these rather than reinventing.
  • No stock photography, no 3D renders, no bluish-purple gradients, no glassmorphism. Warm cream + orange + brown.
Files

What ships with it

60 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

beava-design is a skill published in the GitHub repository beava-dev/beava (138 stars, last pushed 3mo ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 67 tokens to every session and 409 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
