cartographer: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/cartographer-implement-plan/SKILL.md

cartographer-implement-plan is a skill for Claude Code from BeppeTemp/cartographer. It costs 89 tokens per session (3,773 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A workflow for implementing several approved GitHub plan issues, where a plan issue records the agreed design and work. It orders the work, delegates each plan in an isolated copy of the repository, reviews the results, and merges them in sequence.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to turn approved plans into pull requests, review those changes, and merge the completed work in the required order.
Why use it?
It prevents unapproved plans from being implemented and reduces conflicts when multiple changes are being delivered. It also keeps each piece of work separated until it has been reviewed.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00089 $0.03773
Opus 5.5 $0.00036 $0.01509
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00755
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00377

Security

Grade A, and why

cartographer-implement-plan scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 194 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

cartographer-implement-plan — plan issues → merged PRs

Source of truth is CONTRIBUTING.md §Plan issues + §Pull requests, AGENTS.md (workflow and delegation rules), and docs/index.md §Documentation maintenance rules. The cartographer-propose-plan skill covers writing and consuming a single plan. This skill adds only the multi-plan orchestration and the PR/merge cycle — read those first; do not duplicate them here.

The git work lives in make targets, not in prose.

Role

Before anything else, find your role (D955; CONTRIBUTING.md §Working with an agent client):

gh repo view "$(scripts/upstream-repo.sh)" --json viewerPermission --jq .viewerPermission

ADMIN, MAINTAIN or WRITE is maintainer mode; TRIAGE, READ, or any failure to read it, is contributor mode. State the mode to the user in one line.

  • Only an approved plan is implemented, in either mode, the maintainer's own plans included: select with --label plan --label approved. A plan the user names that lacks approved is not implemented: say it awaits a maintainer's approval. In contributor mode the plan must also be assigned to you (comment on it to claim it; the maintainer assigns it): plan-gate rejects the PR otherwise. Never add the label on your own initiative, only when the maintainer tells you to in this session.
  • Contributor mode: exactly one plan, no waves (§1 is skipped); the branch is pushed to origin, your fork. No gh pr merge, no armed auto-merge (§4 step 4 is skipped), no force-push you were not asked for. The skill ends with the PR open and its ## Self-review section filled.
  • Maintainer mode: unchanged from here on.

Preconditions

  • main is protected: every plan lands via its own PR, squash-merge, CI green. No direct pushes.
  • Merging a self-authored PR and git push --force-with-lease require an explicit user decision or a standing approval (the user's own Claude Code permission settings, e.g. Bash(gh pr merge *), Bash(git push --force-with-lease *), or .claude/settings.local.json). Never work around the approval gate — surface it and let the user choose.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
