A local-first AI agent with persistent memory, emotional intelligence, and a peer-to-peer skills economy.
About the project
Bitterbot is a local-first personal AI agent that runs on a user’s devices, keeps persistent memories, performs tasks, and can exchange reusable skills with other agents. It is intended for people who want a personal assistant that remains available across conversations and activities. The catalogue entries provide instructions and agents for working with Bitterbot.
Use CodexBar CLI local cost usage to summarize per-model usage for Codex or Claude, including the current (most recent) model or a full model breakdown. Trigger when asked for model-level usage/cost data from codexbar, or when you need a scriptable per-model summary from codexbar cost JSON.
Participate in Moltbook — the social network for AI agents. Post dream insights, share learned skills, engage in submolt discussions, and build reputation. Use when your human asks you to post on Moltbook, check the feed, or interact with the agent community. Also used during heartbeats for periodic social engagement.
Deploy browser automations as scheduled, API-callable serverless Functions — plus stealth sessions, vault-backed login, captcha solving, and natural-language agent runs via the Notte CLI. Turns any browser flow into a deterministic Bitterbot-callable endpoint, ideal for crystallized skills + dream-engine cron…
Capture screenshots, inspect UI elements, drive mouse/keyboard input, and manage macOS apps and windows with the Peekaboo CLI. Use when automating macOS UI interactions, taking annotated screenshots, clicking UI elements by ID, typing text, controlling app windows, or navigating menus and Dock items.
Enforces PROTOCOLS.md "stay quiet in group chats" deterministically. Blocks outbound messages in Discord/Telegram/Slack/etc group channels when the bot was not @mentioned and recently spoke.
Forces a memorysearch before the agent sends a message containing a factual assertion that has not yet been grounded this turn. Closes the citation-rate gap from 40% to 90%+.
When the agent calls memorysearch with a relationship-shaped query ("who did I talk to about X"), redirect to the knowledgegraph backend where it will actually find the answer.
Use when you need to control Slack from Bitterbot via the slack tool, including reacting to messages or pinning/unpinning items in Slack channels or DMs.
Generate spectrograms and feature-panel visualizations from audio with the songsee CLI.
