What is plan-tracker?

A structured Markdown plan for tracking a piece of work, including tasks, dependencies, decisions, blockers, and progress.

Use it to plan an initiative, record progress while working, document decisions and blockers, and archive completed plans.

It keeps multi-step work organised so the next action, changes in scope, and unfinished tasks are not lost.

Updating

Before work: Read plan, identify next actionable task. During: Check off tasks, note deviations. After: Append progress log with completions, decisions, blockers, and what's next.

Rules

One plan per initiative. Tasks must be concrete. Dependencies explicit. Progress logs are append-only.
When scope changes: add new tasks, strikethrough removed ones with a note, log the change.
On completion: update status, add final summary, move to plans/completed/.

What this file has done since we first saw it
