Bklit UI is an open-source collection of customizable interface components and charts for building React applications with shadcn. Developers use it to add data visualizations such as funnels, gauges, maps, financial charts, and other interactive displays. The catalogue add-ons provide workflows for using its components and chart registry.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00185 | $0.01471 |
| Opus 5.5 | $0.00074 | $0.00588 |
| Sonnet 5.5 | $0.00037 | $0.00294 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00018 | $0.00147 |
Grade A, and why
bklit-ui-design scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured today.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 123 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
Bklit UI design
Map what people say ("a hatched backdrop that fades at the edges") to what
Bklit has (<Background />), then make it look native to the app it lands in.
Bklit charts are installed as source with npx shadcn@latest add @bklit/<item>
(use the project's runner: pnpm dlx, bunx --bun, …) and imported from the
project's alias, e.g. @/components/charts/background. Never import from
@bklitui/ui/charts — that is the private monorepo package.
Workflow
1. Detect the host design
Run the bundled detector from the user's project root. <skill-dir> is the
folder containing this SKILL.md (commonly .claude/skills/bklit-ui-design,
.agents/skills/bklit-ui-design or ~/.claude/skills/bklit-ui-design):
node <skill-dir>/scripts/detect-design.mjs
Zero dependencies, Node ≥ 18, never throws. It prints JSON: tailwindVersion,
cssPath, colorFormat, darkMode, tokens (--primary, --radius, …),
chartVars (light/dark --chart-*), themeInline, components (from
components.json), primitives, chartLibs, bklit.installed and
warnings. Agents without shell access: read components.json, the global CSS
file it names, and package.json, and collect the same facts by hand.
Read warnings first — they flag the problems that make charts look broken
(gray default palette, Tailwind v3 bare-HSL tokens, missing @theme mappings).
2. Parse the request into design intents
Split the sentence into intents (background, fade, shape, fill, line, markers, tooltip, grid, legend, loading, motion, annotation) and look each up in references/vocabulary.md. Example:
"squircle bars with a ghost track and a ring on hover" → shape:
BarSquares squareRadius={0.5}+BarChart squareSnap· track:BarColumnTrack· tooltip:ChartTooltip dotVariant="ring" dotRadiusFraction={0.5}
"diagonal pattern background that fades out on all sides" →
<Background />(diagonal and 4-side fade are the defaults)
What ships with it

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

bklit-ui-design is a skill published in the GitHub repository bklit/bklit-ui (1,772 stars, last pushed yesterday), licensed MIT. It adds 185 tokens to every session and 1,471 once invoked, about $0.0007 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-16.

ui-components
UI component library patterns for shadcn/ui and Radix Primitives. Use when building accessible component libraries, customizing shadcn components, using Radix unstyled primitives, or creating design system foundations.
reimagine-it
Content-Derived Design — reads existing HTML and writes a stronger standalone page from headings, facts, names, dates, numbers, links, emails, and colors already in that file. CLI: npx reimagine-it --auto -i page.html -o out.html; also variations, lock, and audit. Use when the user says /reimagine-it, "reimagine it"…
reimagine-it-extract
Emit the content signals reimagine-it reads from an HTML file — title, anchors, proper nouns, dates, numbers, emails, links, source hex colors, and the derived palette — as JSON without generating a redesign. Use when the user says /reimagine-it extract, "what does the engine see in this page", "extract the palette"…
motion-craft
Use when an interface moves and the movement has to feel right — durations and easing, what must never animate, fixing motion that reads sluggish, cheap or janky, and reduced-motion. Web and native. NOT the visual system (that is design), NOT the graded critique (that is design-loop).
transitions-dev
Production-ready CSS transitions for web apps. Use when implementing notification badges, dropdowns, modals, panel reveals, page transitions, card resizes, number pop-ins, text swaps, icon swaps, success checks, avatar group hovers, error state shakes, search/input clear, skeleton loaders, shimmer text, sliding tabs…
transitions-ui-generation
Make any UI appear as if an AI agent is generating it. A dotted wireframe is drawn from the element's own structure (outline, boxes, text lines, icon paths, with guides, corner handles and size labels), then the real UI is revealed behind a scan line with a fade on a smooth ease-out. Two modes, skeleton and skeleton +…
