Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00068 | $0.01109 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00034 | $0.00554 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00014 | $0.00222 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00111 |
Grade A, and why
trove-react-view-transitions scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 108 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Session Init
This skill ships Trove conventions. Prefer existing project patterns over generic best practices when they conflict.
React View Transitions
Animate between UI states using the browser's native View Transition API.
Declare what animates with <ViewTransition>, trigger when with
startTransition, useDeferredValue, or Suspense, and control how with CSS
classes from references/css-recipes.md. Unsupported browsers skip animations.
Stack Notes
This skill assumes a Vite-based React 19 app (React Router, not Next.js
App Router). The React <ViewTransition> component is canary-only for Vite; use
react@canary react-dom@canary and verify with npm ls react. The
references/nextjs.md file is only for future Next.js work.
Load On Demand
references/implementation.md- required workflow when adding transitions.references/css-recipes.md- CSS recipes to copy into the global stylesheet.references/patterns.md- examples, events API, timing, and troubleshooting.references/nextjs.md- Next.js App Router reference only.
Do not inline those references into the conversation. Load the relevant file when the implementation step needs it.
When To Animate
Every transition must communicate continuity or spatial relationship. If you cannot name what the motion communicates, skip it.
Apply every fitting pattern in this order:
| Priority | Pattern | Communicates |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Shared element (name) |
Same thing, going deeper |
| 2 | Suspense reveal | Data loaded |
| 3 | List identity (key) |
Same items, new arrangement |
| 4 | State change (enter/exit) |
Something appeared/disappeared |
| 5 | Route change | Going to a new place |
Use directional slides only for hierarchy or ordered sequences. Lateral tabs should use a cross-fade or no animation.
Implementation Workflow
- Load
references/implementation.mdand start with the audit. Map every<Link>, router navigation,<Suspense>boundary, page component, persistent element, and shared visual element. - Copy the complete CSS recipe set from
references/css-recipes.mdinto the global stylesheet before wiring components. - Isolate persistent headers, navbars, sidebars, sticky controls, and matching
skeleton/content controls with
viewTransitionName. - For hierarchical route changes, tag direction with
addTransitionTypeinsidestartTransition, then wrap page components, not layouts, in a type-keyed<ViewTransition>. - For Suspense, wrap fallback and content separately. Use string props, not type maps; Suspense resolves fire as separate transitions without route type.
- For shared elements, use globally unique
namevalues such asphoto-${id}and add fallbackenter/exitwhen a pair might not form. - Verify every row in the navigation map: mount/unmount behavior, named-pair
formation,
default="none", persistent element isolation, and reduced motion.
What ships with it
4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

trove-react-view-transitions is a skill published in the GitHub repository bravew/trove (10 stars, last pushed 9d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 68 tokens to every session and 1,109 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-31.
