Awesome Journal Skills is a collection of agent skill packs tailored to hundreds of academic journals across fields including economics, social science, medicine, science, and engineering. Researchers use the packs for tasks such as choosing topics, designing empirical strategies, preparing tables and figures, submitting papers, and responding to reviewers. The catalogue entries are the project's journal-specific skills and related plugins.
Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00068 | $0.00828 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00034 | $0.00414 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00014 | $0.00166 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00007 | $0.00083 |
Grade A, and why
aaai-author-response scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 13d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.
How it starts
The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 71 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.
AAAI Author Response
Use this after AAAI reviews are released. AAAI rebuttal space is scarce: the AAAI-26 FAQ allowed a single 2500-character response, disallowed URLs, and discouraged new results. AAAI-27 has not yet published its own rebuttal FAQ — its author feedback window is 2026-10-19 to 10-25 — so treat those limits as the prior cycle's shape and reopen the current FAQ before drafting.
Triage
- Respond to decision-critical factual errors first.
- Address human reviews and AI-generated review points when they affect the SPC/AC decision.
- Do not spend space on tone, score fairness, or reviewer motivation.
- Do not include URLs if current rules forbid them.
- Do not introduce new experiments or results. Explain existing evidence, clarify omissions, or state why requested experiments are not needed.
- If supplementary files were missing or corrupted, acknowledge the limitation; AAAI has not permitted updates at rebuttal time, and the supplementary deadline (2026-07-31 for AAAI-27) closed months before feedback opens.
What moves an AAAI score
Author feedback at AAAI is read by human reviewers and weighed in SPC/AC discussion, not by the non-decisional AI review. With one short response and no second round, spend every character on the concern most likely to flip a borderline decision. Triage each reviewer point into a lane:
- Factual error that, if uncorrected, sinks the paper: answer first, cite the submitted anchor.
- Misread of an existing result: clarify and point to the table, theorem, or appendix line.
- Request for a new experiment: explain why submitted evidence covers it, or scope the claim.
- Taste or framing complaint: usually skip; a defensive paragraph rarely moves the score.
Reviewer-pushback patterns and the AAAI fix
- "No comparison to method X." Fix: name the submitted table row that includes X, or argue X is out of scope; do not promise a fresh run that rules forbid.
- "Results may not hold beyond one benchmark." Fix: cite the seed or split variation in the supplement; if absent, narrow the claim instead.
- "The AI-generated review flags a missing baseline." Fix: correct it calmly with a submitted pointer; the AI review is advisory, so a one-line factual rebuttal suffices.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

aaai-author-response is a skill published in the GitHub repository brycewang-stanford/Awesome-Journal-Skills (1,097 stars, last pushed 16d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 68 tokens to every session and 828 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
