ai-platform-engineering: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/speckit.clarify/SKILL.md

speckit.clarify is a skill for Claude Code from caipe-io/ai-platform-engineering. It costs 0 tokens per session (2,377 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A clarification workflow for finding missing decisions and unclear parts in a feature specification. It asks focused questions and records the answers in the specification before a technical plan is made.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review an active feature spec, ask targeted clarification questions, and update the spec with the resulting decisions.
Why use it?
It reduces the chance of building from assumptions or discovering important ambiguity during implementation. It is intended to happen before planning.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.02377
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.01189
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00475
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00238

Security

Grade A, and why

speckit.clarify scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

User Input

$ARGUMENTS

You MUST consider the user input before proceeding (if not empty).

Outline

Goal: Detect and reduce ambiguity or missing decision points in the active feature specification and record the clarifications directly in the spec file.

Note: This clarification workflow is expected to run (and be completed) BEFORE invoking /speckit.plan. If the user explicitly states they are skipping clarification (e.g., exploratory spike), you may proceed, but must warn that downstream rework risk increases.

Execution steps:

  1. Run .specify/scripts/bash/check-prerequisites.sh --json --paths-only from repo root once (combined --json --paths-only mode / -Json -PathsOnly). Parse minimal JSON payload fields:

    • FEATURE_DIR
    • FEATURE_SPEC
    • (Optionally capture IMPL_PLAN, TASKS for future chained flows.)
    • If JSON parsing fails, abort and instruct user to re-run /speckit.specify or verify feature branch environment.
    • For single quotes in args like "I'm Groot", use escape syntax: e.g 'I'''m Groot' (or double-quote if possible: "I'm Groot").
  2. Load the current spec file. Perform a structured ambiguity & coverage scan using this taxonomy. For each category, mark status: Clear / Partial / Missing. Produce an internal coverage map used for prioritization (do not output raw map unless no questions will be asked).

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
