grafel-business-docs

grafel-business-docs is a skill for Claude Code from cajasmota/grafel. It costs 70 tokens per session (1,468 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A command for discussing an indexed codebase with a specialist viewpoint, such as an architect, security auditor, business analyst, or performance reviewer. It uses the codebase’s grafel documentation and supports one active consultant per chat.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review architecture, security, performance, APIs, refactoring, data work, quality assurance, or business behavior in an indexed project.
Why use it?
It gives focused expert analysis without requiring you to manually inspect every part of the codebase.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00070 $0.01468
Opus 5 $0.00035 $0.00734
Sonnet 5 $0.00014 $0.00294
Haiku 4.5 $0.00007 $0.00147

Security

Grade A, and why

grafel-business-docs scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 11d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 99 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

grafel-business-docs

Generate the business-tier documentation set for a registered grafel group. All output is synthesised across every repo in the group and written in plain business language for PMs, designers, and non-engineers.

Key design point: independent of tech docs

This skill does NOT hard-depend on /grafel-tech-docs having been run. Every business pass has an explicit graph-only fallback: when technical-tier module READMEs are absent, the pass derives the same content directly from the graph via MCP queries. Running /grafel-tech-docs first improves fidelity (the business writers can reference engineer-written module names already translated to business voice), but it is not required.

Soft dependency path: grafel-resolvegrafel-business-docs (minimum viable). Enhanced path: grafel-resolvegrafel-tech-docsgrafel-business-docs (higher fidelity).

CRITICAL TOOL DISCIPLINE

For ANY structural question about the codebase, use grafel MCP tools: grafel_orient (view=me), grafel_find, grafel_inspect, grafel_subgraph, grafel_trace, grafel_orient (view=clusters), grafel_orient (view=overview). Do NOT grep or read source files for entity discovery.

Pre-flight assertion

Call grafel_orient (view=me) before doing anything. If it errors: ABORT with "grafel MCP not configured for this directory. Run /mcp to fix, then re-invoke /grafel-business-docs."

When to use this skill

  • "Write business docs / PM docs for this group."
  • "Generate product capabilities and user journeys."
  • "Produce the business overview."
  • "Document what the product does in plain English."
  • /grafel-business-docs (slash command).

Do not invoke for technical module documentation (that is /grafel-tech-docs).

Business voice contract

Every business pass reads snippets/business-voice.md first (if present). The contract: PM audience, zero internal symbol names, zero code-style mermaid diagrams. All pages carry a collapsed <details> provenance block at the bottom (the ONLY place a file path or symbol may appear) so an engineer can audit without polluting the PM reading experience.

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
