SkillSpector: 1 finding, up to medium
These are SkillSpector’s own severities. On a checked sample its high-severity flags on skills were ~96% false positives — a documented command, a public API, a “never do X” rule — so we show them as a caution to read, not a verdict. Why →

What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

Grade B, and why
cisco-meraki-ta-setup scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 9d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

When to Activate
- Onboard a Meraki Dashboard organization through
Splunk_TA_cisco_meraki. - Configure Meraki API accounts, polling inputs, indexes, or dashboard macros.
- Diagnose missing Meraki data or empty companion dashboards.
Scope
This skill configures Splunk collection and dashboard prerequisites. It does not request API keys in chat, modify Meraki network configuration, or enable every polling input without reviewing rate and volume impact.
Examples
Run the diagnostic validator before account creation:
bash skills/cisco-meraki-ta-setup/scripts/validate.sh
Expected output: package, Splunk access, account prerequisites, and local tools are reported without changing the Meraki organization or Splunk inputs.
Run the completion gate after enabling selected inputs:
bash skills/cisco-meraki-ta-setup/scripts/validate.sh --completion
Expected output: account, enabled inputs, events, source types, macros, and
dashboard evidence report [PASS] or exit nonzero.
Troubleshooting
| Issue | Cause | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| API returns 401 | API key is invalid | Replace the protected key file |
| API returns 429 | Polling exceeds limits | Reduce scope or increase intervals |
| No events | Organization or scope is wrong | Verify it and inspect logs |
| Empty dashboards | Macro/source type is wrong | Validate events, then align settings |
What ships with it
9 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.
What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

cisco-meraki-ta-setup is a skill published in the GitHub repository chambear2809/splunk-cisco-skills (37 stars, last pushed today), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 26 tokens to every session and 3,492 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (asks for root, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
