google-slides is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from CraftOS-dev/CraftBot. It costs 65 tokens per session (3,271 once invoked), scanned B, original, MIT.

An integration for the Google Slides API, the service used to create and edit Google presentations through code.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create presentations, add slides, insert text and images, and control slide formatting.
Why use it?
It removes the need to build or update every presentation and slide manually in Google Slides.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5 $0.00065 $0.03271
Opus 5 $0.00032 $0.01636
Sonnet 5 $0.00013 $0.00654
Haiku 4.5 $0.00006 $0.00327

Security

Grade B, and why

google-slides scanned grade B with 2 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured yesterday.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Sends data to an external URLmediumData exfiltration

A POST to an outside endpoint may be telemetry or may be exfiltration; either way the mod talks to somewhere, and you should know where.

response = requests.post( "https://gateway.maton.ai/google-slides/v1/presentations",

Not a fault in itself. Listed so you know the mod talks to something, and to what.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 537 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

Google Slides

Access the Google Slides API with managed OAuth authentication. Create and manage presentations, add slides, insert text and images, and control formatting.

Quick Start

# Create a new presentation
python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
data = json.dumps({'title': 'My Presentation'}).encode()
req = urllib.request.Request('https://gateway.maton.ai/google-slides/v1/presentations', data=data, method='POST')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
req.add_header('Content-Type', 'application/json')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF

Base URL

https://gateway.maton.ai/google-slides/{native-api-path}

Replace {native-api-path} with the actual Google Slides API endpoint path. The gateway proxies requests to slides.googleapis.com and automatically injects your OAuth token.

Authentication

All requests require the Maton API key in the Authorization header:

Authorization: Bearer $MATON_API_KEY

Environment Variable: Set your API key as MATON_API_KEY:

export MATON_API_KEY="YOUR_API_KEY"

Getting Your API Key

  1. Sign in or create an account at maton.ai
  2. Go to maton.ai/settings
  3. Copy your API key

Connection Management

Manage your Google OAuth connections at https://ctrl.maton.ai.

List Connections

python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
req = urllib.request.Request('https://ctrl.maton.ai/connections?app=google-slides&status=ACTIVE')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF

Create Connection

python <<'EOF'
import urllib.request, os, json
data = json.dumps({'app': 'google-slides'}).encode()
req = urllib.request.Request('https://ctrl.maton.ai/connections', data=data, method='POST')
req.add_header('Authorization', f'Bearer {os.environ["MATON_API_KEY"]}')
req.add_header('Content-Type', 'application/json')
print(json.dumps(json.load(urllib.request.urlopen(req)), indent=2))
EOF

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

google-slides is a skill published in the GitHub repository CraftOS-dev/CraftBot (378 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 65 tokens to every session and 3,271 once invoked, about $0.0003 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it B with 2 findings (sends data to an external url, makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
