Getting it into your agent
One page per mod, every tool's command on it. A separate URL per tool would split the same page into five that compete with each other.

SkillSpector: 5 findings, up to medium
These are SkillSpector’s own severities. On a checked sample its high-severity flags on skills were ~96% false positives — a documented command, a public API, a “never do X” rule — so we show them as a caution to read, not a verdict. Why →
- medium Excessive Agency · line 130 Skill enables autonomous high-impact decisions without human-in-the-loop verification. Critical operations (destructive commands, financial transactions, data deletion) should require explicit user confirmation.Fix: Add human-in-the-loop confirmation for destructive, irreversible, or high-impact operations. Never auto-execute commands that modify files, send data, or alter system state.
- medium Agent Snooping · line 21 Skill enumerates or reads other installed skills. Access to other skills' SKILL.md files or the skills directory reveals prompt instructions, capabilities, and secrets that should be invisible to peer skills.Fix: Remove all code or instructions that list or read other skills' files or directories. Skills should operate independently; cross-skill access is a privilege escalation.

- medium Output Handling · line 901 Output size or generation rate is not bounded. Unbounded output enables denial-of-service through resource exhaustion, log flooding, or context-window stuffing.Fix: Set explicit limits on output length, generation count, and rate. Use max_tokens and truncation to prevent unbounded output.
What it costs to keep this loaded
Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.
| Model | Per session | Once invoked |
|---|---|---|
| Fable 5.1 | $0.00086 | $0.12812 |
| Opus 5 | $0.00043 | $0.06406 |
| Sonnet 5 | $0.00017 | $0.02562 |
| Haiku 4.5 | $0.00009 | $0.01281 |
Grade A, and why
api-linter scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 3d ago.
A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.
Nothing flagged
None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Overview
The linter validates tool, resource, and prompt definitions against the MCP spec and framework conventions. It is build-time only — not invoked at server startup. It runs in two places:
| Entry point | When | On failure |
|---|---|---|
bun run lint:mcp |
Manual or CI | Prints errors + warnings, exits non-zero on errors. |
bun run devcheck |
Pre-commit workflow | Wraps lint:mcp alongside typecheck, format, bun audit, bun outdated. |
Both surface the same LintReport from validateDefinitions() (exported from @cyanheads/mcp-ts-core/linter). Each diagnostic has a stable rule ID — that's the anchor you land on via the See: skills/api-linter/SKILL.md#<rule> breadcrumb appended to every message.
Severity:
- error — MUST-level spec violation; blocks
devcheck. - warning — SHOULD-level or quality issue; logged but
devcheckcontinues.
Imports (if you need to run the linter programmatically):
import { validateDefinitions } from '@cyanheads/mcp-ts-core/linter';
import type { LintReport, LintDiagnostic } from '@cyanheads/mcp-ts-core/linter';
const report = validateDefinitions({ tools, resources, prompts, serverJson, packageJson });
if (!report.passed) process.exit(1);

What this file has done since we first saw it
Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

api-linter is a skill published in the GitHub repository cyanheads/obsidian-mcp-server (674 stars, last pushed 4d ago), licensed Apache-2.0. It adds 86 tokens to every session and 12,812 once invoked, about $0.0004 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.

impl-validator
Validate whether an implementation matches its stated goal. Use this skill when a skill or agent wants a second opinion on its own output, when the user says "check this implementation", "validate what you did", "is this correct?", "review the output", or "did you do this right?". Also spawned automatically as a…
knowledge-base-management
A lifecycle system for managing an Obsidian knowledge base, which is a folder of linked notes. It organizes raw material, AI-maintained wiki pages, and generated views into separate layers.
pkm-session-end
Use when wrapping up a work session — creates devlog entry, captures undocumented decisions/research/debugging, audits link health of session work, and updates project index. Primarily used via the pkm-capture agent.
pkm-write
Use when writing to the vault — creating new notes (vaultwrite), editing existing notes (vaultedit, vaultappend, vaultupdatefrontmatter). Handles duplicate checking, link discovery, annotations, and index updates for new notes. Provides guidelines for modifications.
pkm-explore
Use when researching what the vault knows about a topic — performs graph + semantic exploration with gap analysis to map existing knowledge and find missing connections. Primarily used via the vault-explorer agent. Not for routine session-start context loading (hooks handle that).
triage-tasks
Use when you want to review and batch-update open vault task statuses for the current project or across all projects.
