programing-best-practices: Skill for Claude Code

.kiro/steering/ui-ux-pro-max/SKILL.md

ui-ux-pro-max is a skill for Claude Code, Kiro from dereknguyen269/programing-best-practices. It costs 0 tokens per session (2,615 once invoked), scanned B, a copy of ui-ux-pro-max, Unlicense.

A searchable design guide for web and mobile applications. It organizes visual styles, color palettes, font pairings, user-experience rules, chart types, and recommendations for different technology stacks.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to plan or review interfaces, generate a design system, choose colors and fonts, select chart types, and apply user-experience guidance across supported web and mobile stacks.
Why use it?
It gives developers a structured way to choose visual and interaction patterns instead of making design decisions without a shared reference. It also helps match choices to the product type, industry, style, and framework.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00000 $0.02615
Opus 5 $0.00000 $0.01307
Sonnet 5 $0.00000 $0.00523
Haiku 4.5 $0.00000 $0.00262

Security

Grade B, and why

ui-ux-pro-max scanned grade B with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 10d ago.

The scan reads SKILL.md. This mod also ships 3 executable files (scripts/core.py, scripts/design_system.py, scripts/search.py), listed below but not scanned — reading those needs a real analyzer, not pattern matching.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Asks for rootmediumPrivilege escalation

A mod that escalates privileges can change anything on the machine, not only the project.

ui-ux-pro-max

Comprehensive design guide for web and mobile applications. Contains 67 styles, 96 color palettes, 57 font pairings, 99 UX guidelines, and 25 chart types across 13 technology stacks. Searchable database with priority-based recommendations.

Prerequisites

Check if Python is installed:

python3 --version || python --version

If Python is not installed, install it based on user's OS:

macOS:

brew install python3

Ubuntu/Debian:

sudo apt update && sudo apt install python3

Windows:

winget install Python.Python.3.12

How to Use This Workflow

When user requests UI/UX work (design, build, create, implement, review, fix, improve), follow this workflow:

Step 1: Analyze User Requirements

Extract key information from user request:

  • Product type: SaaS, e-commerce, portfolio, dashboard, landing page, etc.
  • Style keywords: minimal, playful, professional, elegant, dark mode, etc.
  • Industry: healthcare, fintech, gaming, education, etc.
  • Stack: React, Vue, Next.js, or default to html-tailwind

Step 2: Generate Design System (REQUIRED)

Always start with --design-system to get comprehensive recommendations with reasoning:

python3 steering/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py "<product_type> <industry> <keywords>" --design-system [-p "Project Name"]

This command:

  1. Searches 5 domains in parallel (product, style, color, landing, typography)
  2. Applies reasoning rules from ui-reasoning.csv to select best matches
  3. Returns complete design system: pattern, style, colors, typography, effects
  4. Includes anti-patterns to avoid

Example:

python3 steering/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py "beauty spa wellness service" --design-system -p "Serenity Spa"

Step 2b: Persist Design System (Master + Overrides Pattern)

To save the design system for hierarchical retrieval across sessions, add --persist:

python3 steering/ui-ux-pro-max/scripts/search.py "<query>" --design-system --persist -p "Project Name"

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
