omni-models

omni-models is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from diegosouzapw/OmniRoute. It costs 32 tokens per session (763 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A catalog for finding AI models exposed by configured providers. It lists models, resolves aliases, and shows provider-specific versions of models.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to list available models, browse the full catalog, and create or update model aliases.
Why use it?
It gives applications one place to discover which models are available instead of hard-coding every provider's catalog. Aliases can provide stable names when the underlying model name changes.

About the project

OmniRoute is an AI gateway that gives coding agents one endpoint for accessing models from many providers, with quota-aware fallback between them. It is for people using Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, Cline, Copilot, and similar tools who want a single route to their available AI models.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00032 $0.00763
Opus 5.5 $0.00013 $0.00305
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00006 $0.00153
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00076

Security

Grade A, and why

omni-models scanned grade A with 1 finding against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Overview

Query available AI models across all configured providers. List models, resolve model aliases, and browse the full model catalog including provider-specific variants.

Authentication

All requests require a valid Bearer token or session cookie. Obtain a token via POST /api/auth/login or configure REQUIRE_API_KEY=false for local development.

Endpoints

GET /api/v1/models

List available models

Returns all models available across configured providers. The discovery filters (capability, min_context, kind, q) are opt-in: without them the response is unchanged. They narrow the caller's own (key-filtered) catalog and run before limit/after paging.

curl http://localhost:20128/api/v1/models \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN"

POST /api/v1/models/query

Query a model shortlist

Filtered shortlist over the same catalog as GET /v1/models (same auth and per-key visibility). Results are ordered by owned_by, then id, and capped by limit (default 20, maximum 100).

curl -X POST http://localhost:20128/api/v1/models/query \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{}'

GET /api/models

List models (management)

curl http://localhost:20128/api/models \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN"

POST /api/models/alias

Create or update a model alias

curl -X POST http://localhost:20128/api/models/alias \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $OMNIROUTE_TOKEN" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{}'

GET /api/models/catalog

Get full model catalog

curl http://localhost:20128/api/models/catalog \

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

omni-models is a skill published in the GitHub repository diegosouzapw/OmniRoute (80,849 stars, last pushed today), licensed MIT. It adds 32 tokens to every session and 763 once invoked, about $0.0001 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 1 finding (makes network calls). No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-08-30.
