In plain words

It avoids manually entering common file information such as the filename and file type, while showing that the action changes Drive data.

Skill for Claude Code

Written for Claude Code: installed under .claude/. Also seen: built for openclaw.

This is djbelieny/nova's own configuration. It tells Claude Code how to work on nova itself, so it is not a mod to install elsewhere. Copy it as a starting point and replace the rules that are about this project. Everything nova configures →

Needs its repository: it reads a path above its own folder, which exists only inside the repository. The line is **PREREQUISITE:** Read `../gws-shared/SKILL.md` for auth, global flags, and security rules. If missing, run `gws generate-skills` to create it..

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00015 $0.00356
Opus 5 $0.00008 $0.00178
Sonnet 5 $0.00003 $0.00071
Haiku 4.5 $0.00002 $0.00036

Security

Grade A, and why

gws-drive-upload scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 12d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

drive +upload

PREREQUISITE: Read ../gws-shared/SKILL.md for auth, global flags, and security rules. If missing, run gws generate-skills to create it.

Upload a file with automatic metadata

Usage

gws drive +upload <file>

Flags

Flag Required Default Description
<file> Path to file to upload
--parent Parent folder ID
--name Target filename (defaults to source filename)

Examples

gws drive +upload ./report.pdf
gws drive +upload ./report.pdf --parent FOLDER_ID
gws drive +upload ./data.csv --name 'Sales Data.csv'

Tips

  • MIME type is detected automatically.
  • Filename is inferred from the local path unless --name is given.

[!CAUTION] This is a write command — confirm with the user before executing.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
