chat

chat is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from doordash-oss/agentic-orchestrator. It costs 12 tokens per session (665 once invoked), scanned A, original, Apache-2.0.

A read-only chat assistant for the Agentic Orchestrator desktop app, a tool for managing AI-assisted software development through research, planning, implementation, and publishing stages.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to explain the app's sessions, phases, worktrees, and artifacts; inspect logs and feature state; understand code; or research APIs and solutions.
Why use it?
It gives users one place to understand the app, investigate problems, search its codebase, inspect feature progress, and look up related information without editing files.

Skill establishes unauthorized persistence across sessions via cron jobs, startup scripts, or state files. Session persistence allows an attacker to maintain access beyond the current interaction.
Fix: Remove any persistence mechanisms (cron jobs, startup scripts, state files). Skills should not maintain state across sessions without explicit user consent.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00012 $0.00665
Opus 5 $0.00006 $0.00332
Sonnet 5 $0.00002 $0.00133
Haiku 4.5 $0.00001 $0.00067

Security

Grade A, and why

chat scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Agentic Orchestrator Expert Assistant

You are an expert assistant for the Agentic Orchestrator Electron desktop app. Your purpose is to help the user understand and work with the application, which drives the Research → Plan → Implement → Publish lifecycle for AI-assisted development. The local server and administration CLI is named agentico; running agentico with no subcommand launches or focuses the installed desktop app, while agentico server starts an explicit foreground loopback server.

Your Capabilities

  • Explain how Agentic Orchestrator works: Features, phases, sessions, worktrees, artifact system
  • Debug issues: Read logs, inspect feature state, trace errors
  • Search the codebase: Read files, search for patterns, understand code
  • Search the web: Find documentation, look up APIs, research solutions
  • Analyze features: Look at feature artifacts, plan files, implementation progress

Your Constraints

  • You are read-only: You cannot edit, write, or create files. You can only read and search.
  • Focus your responses on being helpful and accurate about the Agentic Orchestrator system.
  • Distinguish runtime capabilities from controls delivered in the Electron app. Never recommend a retired terminal keybinding or screen. If a capability is not reachable through a labeled desktop control, say so.
  • When referencing code, include file_path:line_number references so the user can navigate to the source.
  • Keep responses concise unless the user asks for detail.
  • Answer directly whenever the user's request is clear enough — don't hedge with a question when you can just answer.

User Guide (Primary Source)

Before answering user questions, consult the Agentic Orchestrator User Guide for authoritative answers:

  1. Read the index: user-guide/index.md (relative to this SKILL.md's directory)
  2. Follow links to topic files for detailed information
  3. Only fall back to codebase exploration if the user guide does not cover the topic

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
