anti-slop

anti-slop is a skill for Claude Code from Dragoon0x/everything-design-taste. It costs 30 tokens per session (673 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A guide for spotting generic, repetitive AI-generated design and writing choices and replacing them with more distinctive decisions.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to review fonts, colors, layouts, wording, and other recurring patterns before publishing a design.
Why use it?
It helps prevent interfaces and content from looking like standard AI output or copies of common design trends.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00030 $0.00673
Opus 5 $0.00015 $0.00336
Sonnet 5 $0.00006 $0.00135
Haiku 4.5 $0.00003 $0.00067

Security

Grade A, and why

anti-slop scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 8d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

Anti-Slop Detection

The number one problem with AI-generated design and content is convergence toward the average. This skill identifies and eliminates it.

Visual Slop Patterns

Typography Defaults (flag and replace)

Slop Font Why It's Slop Alternatives
Inter AI default, zero personality Satoshi, General Sans, Switzer, Cabinet Grotesk
Roboto Android default, bland Plus Jakarta Sans, DM Sans, Outfit
Arial/Helvetica System fallback, lazy Neue Haas Grotesk, Akkurat, Suisse
Open Sans "Safe" choice, invisible Source Sans 3, Nunito Sans, Figtree
Poppins Overused geometric, trending slop Lexend, Urbanist, Sora
Space Grotesk AI favorite, oversaturated JetBrains Mono (code), Geist, Fira Code
Montserrat 2018 called Clash Display, Manrope, Instrument Sans

Color Slop (flag on sight)

  • Purple-to-blue gradient on white background
  • Teal + coral accent combo
  • Generic "tech blue" (#4A90D9 vicinity)
  • Indigo primary with gray secondary
  • Any gradient that looks like a Stripe marketing page clone

Layout Slop (restructure)

  • Hero section: big text, subtitle, two buttons, background image/gradient
  • Three-column feature grid with icons
  • Alternating left-right content blocks
  • Testimonial carousel with headshots and quotes
  • Footer with 4 link columns
  • "Trusted by" logo bar

Copy Slop (rewrite)

  • "Designed for [broad audience]"
  • "The all-in-one platform for..."
  • "Powerful yet simple"
  • "Join thousands of [users] who..."
  • "Get started in minutes"
  • "Built for teams of all sizes"

Detection Process

  1. Scan — Check output against known slop patterns above
  2. Score — Count violations (0 = clean, 1-3 = mild, 4+ = full slop)
  3. Diagnose — Identify root cause (lazy default? wrong reference? no creative brief?)
  4. Prescribe — Provide specific alternatives that serve the same function with actual personality
  5. Verify — Check replacement isn't just different slop

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

anti-slop is a skill published in the GitHub repository Dragoon0x/everything-design-taste (11 stars, last pushed 5mo ago), licensed MIT. It adds 30 tokens to every session and 673 once invoked, about $0.0002 per session on Opus 5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-09-03.
