kesha-voice-kit: Skill for Claude Code

.claude/skills/release/SKILL.md

release is a skill for Claude Code from drakulavich/kesha-voice-kit. It costs 91 tokens per session (2,018 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A release procedure for publishing the Kesha CLI and Engine. It covers version updates, tags, release workflows, package publishing, and checks for the resulting release.

In plain words
What is it for?
Use it to create stable, beta, or alpha versions and verify what the release workflow publishes and in what order.
Why use it?
It reduces mistakes when preparing releases across several package and build files. Publishing remains an explicit maintainer action.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00091 $0.02018
Opus 5.5 $0.00036 $0.00807
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00018 $0.00404
Haiku 4.5 $0.00009 $0.00202

Security

Grade A, and why

release scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 14d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

How it starts

The opening of the file, as written. The whole thing — 64 lines — stays where its author put it; the contents beside it link to each section on GitHub.

release

Cuts a release. Never auto-runs: the maintainer invokes /release vX.Y.Z (stable), /release beta X.Y.Z-beta.N or /release alpha. Pushing a tag and dispatching release.yml publish immediately and permanently; an agent does neither unless the maintainer asks in this conversation.

The model

  • One version. package.json#version names the CLI and the Engine; rust/Cargo.toml, rust/Cargo.lock and both server.json versions mirror it (bun run check:versions). main carries the next unreleased version: the post-release job opens a PR that leads it to the next minor after every stable release.
  • One workflow. .github/workflows/release.yml classifies the trigger (release-classify.ts). plan gates the run; build has three rows, one Cargo profile each, followed by darwin-synthesis-smoke and roundtrip-smoke. The stable-only packages job runs alongside those jobs. assemble waits for the build, smokes, and (on stable) packages; then github-release and npm packaging can run in parallel. npm-publish waits for both, followed by npm-smoke. Stable homebrew and docker jobs start after github-release and can overlap the npm smoke; stable post-release waits for both the GitHub release and npm smoke. A pull request that touches it runs the build and smoke rehearsal and publishes nothing.
  • The Engine pin is injected, never committed. npm writes package.json#kesha.engine = { version, sha256, size } from the release's SHA256SUMS and asset list (engine-pin.ts); kesha install refuses a download that does not match it. A source checkout carries no pin and verifies against the release's own SHA256SUMS.
  • Releases are immutable and tag names one-use. A release is published once, with every asset, by github-release; nothing is drafted. A broken release is fixed by the next patch, never by reusing its tag. Never tag to test: open a PR that touches release.yml for a rehearsal.
  • npm Trusted Publishing names release.yml. It is the only workflow that publishes, and the package trusts exactly one workflow; a second entry point 404s at the registry (#732).

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.
