pr

pr is a skill for Claude Code, Codex from emiliosheinz/agent-skills. It costs 132 tokens per session (537 once invoked), scanned A, original, MIT.

A workflow that commits changes, pushes the branch, and opens a draft pull request with a short explanation of the problem and solution. A pull request is a request for teammates to review proposed code changes.

In plain words
What is it for?
It is for opening a draft pull request when work is ready for review and writing its problem, solution, and rationale.
Why use it?
It keeps the review description focused enough to scan quickly and prevents a small change from receiving an unnecessarily long explanation.

Token cost

What it costs to keep this loaded

Counted locally with the o200k_base tokenizer, which is exact for GPT models; Claude uses its own tokenizer and its counts differ. Treat this as one consistent yardstick across the catalogue rather than a bill. Prices are per million input tokens.

ModelPer sessionOnce invoked
Fable 5.1 $0.00132 $0.00537
Opus 5.5 $0.00053 $0.00215
Sonnet 5.5 $0.00026 $0.00107
Haiku 4.5 $0.00013 $0.00054

Measured 7d ago against content hash 5fc61c210c79, method: parsed. Prices are Anthropic first-party input rates as of 2026-10-07, from the pricing page.

Security

Grade A, and why

pr scanned grade A with 0 findings against 26 rules in 11 categories — prompt injection, anti-refusal, data exfiltration, privilege escalation, supply chain, agent snooping, system-prompt leakage, SSRF and excessive agency — measured 7d ago.

A static scan of the body, not an audit. Every finding is printed with the line that produced it so you can judge whether it matters here. A mod is markdown that instructs an agent; that is exactly why what it instructs is worth reading.

Nothing flagged

None of the 26 patterns this scan looks for appear in this file: no shell pipes, no recursive deletes, no credential paths, no hidden text, no instruction-override or anti-refusal phrasing, no agent-config snooping. That is not a guarantee, it is the absence of the things that are checkable.

What it actually says

PR

One verb per invocation.

Verbs

open is the only verb: commit, push, and open a draft PR with a written body. Procedure: references/open.md.

No verb given, and the branch has commits the base does not: assume open. A PR already exists for the branch: stop, give its URL, and say open never updates an existing PR. Do not infer a verb absent from this file.

The two tests

Every body this skill writes passes both. They are the whole quality bar; there is no word count and no mandatory section.

  1. A reviewer scans it in under 60 seconds. Not reads — scans.
  2. The body is never more complex than the fix. A one-line dependency bump cannot earn three paragraphs.

Test 2 is decided from the diff before drafting, and test 1 is re-checked against the draft. Both procedures are in references/writing-the-body.md.

Writing the body

Load references/writing-the-body.md before writing any body. There is no template: sections are not mandatory, not fixed in order, and not named in advance. A change that needs one sentence gets one sentence.

Files

What ships with it

4 files beside SKILL.md in the same directory: the scripts, references and assets a skill reads on demand. Not counted in the per-session cost; read them before you install if any of them is executable.

Changes

What this file has done since we first saw it

Hashed on every crawl. A supply-chain change to an agent config is a question of when, not whether, so the history is kept rather than the latest state alone.

pr is a skill published in the GitHub repository emiliosheinz/agent-skills (19 stars, last pushed 2d ago), licensed MIT. It adds 132 tokens to every session and 537 once invoked, about $0.0005 per session on Opus 5.5. A static security scan graded it A with 0 findings. No closer match exists in the catalogue, so it is treated as the original; first seen 2026-10-12.
